"wir genossen den Aufenthalt bei Sonnenuntergang auf der Terrasse. Die Reservation via Homepage des Restaurants ist vorbildlich und die Bestätigung erfolgte umgehend. Die Tischwahl hat man berücksichtigt, da wir mit Hund kamen (etwas abseits, damit der Hund niemand stört und die Wege nicht blockiert sind). Der Service aufmerksam und schnell. Das Essen kam zügig und war ausgezeichnet, obwohl das Restaurant sehr gut besucht war. sehr gerne wieder, wir haben uns wohl gefühlt, Danke!"

"I celebrated my birthday with my friends, the atmosphere and the service was not bad and the food was not bad. But the grill cook has very perverse tendencies, he had very insistent looks towards young girls, he made me very uncomfortable with several women and all the people who noticed his behavior. He also came to pick up a person from our table to ask for personal information about one of the girls who was sitting at our table, which I find totally inappropriate and hallucinating. "We called around 3pm to check whether the place was open and still served food? The waiter said, the cook had already left after the lunch service, but offered to heat the pizza stove for us, it would only take some 20mins. After we arrived, we were greeted with a big friendly smile were treated royally with an outstandingly prepared pizza. Thank you! Great service, excellent freshly prepared pizza going the extra mile. We'll definitely be back to try the rest."

"From outside the house looks slightly bland and uninspiring. Do not be put off and push the door! Hotel de la Gare embodies the authentic ‘’café restaurant’’ of a village. On one side, the café itself with its social life and passionate talks. On the other side, the restaurant part quieter, cozy and boasting an intimate atmosphere. I sat in the restaurant to enjoy my dinner. A huge thumbs up to Françoise the tenant for her friendly and efficient service. It really reflects Swiss hospitality at its best. The menu is short as the house explicitly prouds itself on homemade dishes (those which are not ‘’fait maison’’ are clearly marked on the menu). As starter I enjoyed the marinated salmon delicate and tasty. As main course I chose the veal escalope in lemon sauce quite generous and tasty portion, the veal was very tender. No room left for a big dessert, therefore I only had the ‘’Café Gourmand’’ with delicious samples. Despite Yvonand’s location by Lake Neuchâtel, prices remain pleasantly moderate (for Swiss standards): the bill amounted to CHF70. Considering the great food and excellent service, Hotel de la Gare offers outstanding value for money."
