"I had the Red Lentil-Orange Soup, which was delicious, reminded me of turkish lentil soup, but fruitier. The Penne Rigati Mediterran were not bad, but not very good, either. It was one of their dishes that are copies of their non-vegan options, with substitute products being swapped in for the meat. So some effort was made, but this particular dish was a bit too dry for my taste. The seasoning was not bad (I could taste a hint of pumpkin seed oil) but not very interesting, either. I would go there again, though, to try the other options."

Very big restaurant Cafe. Very nice furnishings. Good selection of dishes at reasonable prices. It's nice, but it's something unorganized. Otherwise everything was good and was there three times as a guest. Come back. View menu

yes, there are some vegan options available. However, it seems that the feeds are only in the card to give themselves this label. the vegan burger was terrible. pappy, old and a tasteful catastrophe. unfortunately not recommended.

full page of vegan dishes, among others veganized traditional german food. lime sauce is a treat!friendly staff and really cool interior edit: had their vegan á la carte breakfast and it was ok, but not more. probably won't have it again

we have tried this place on the basis of the other reviews. service was not good, we had to wait long and she seemed stressed and overworked. eating was expensive. I had the nierenbohnenburger, who was buzzing and bread cave. I'm sorry, but not recommended.

Sitting outside, eating and drinking, enjoying the beautiful old town is fun and how nice you can do everything here in one place. Flensburg is usually a beautiful city, but sitting here is really nice. You can sit here quietly in the fresh air. Very pleasant!

"I went there yesterday for lunch while visiting Flensburg. Having beautiful spring weather I was a little hesitant to sit indoors (basement) but upon entering I felt welcomed and settled down for lunch. The restaurant's decor is nothing to write to home about. But the aromas coming from the kitchen smelled right! And we were there to eat.We ordered # 37. Korma Chicken (11,50 €) and #46. Daal Tarka (9,50 €) but since it was lunch time, both dishes cost 7,00 € each. The main courses were served along side a bowl of basmati rice. I just wish salad was included. With two ciders and 2 naans our bill totalled to 24 €.Being from Pakistan and eating home cooked Pakistani food, I was really impressed with their Korma. I have never enjoyed a korma in europe before. But this one tasted really good, it actually tasted of something! Of course the best korma you always get at home. But I will definitely be ordering it again at Shalimar. The daal was just as good. The highlights for us were the chicken korma and the baked naans. They had a bite to them and complimented the curries. The atmosphere was pleasant. The restaurant was quite busy and looking around the guests all seemed to be complimenting their food. One thing I have to add, when you tell them how you want your food to be spiced, they actually listen. We asked ours to be hot and they were spiced hot. The waiter asked if I wanted extra green chillies and before I knew it, they were served along side. Something I wish other restaurants would actually do! Freshly finely chopped ginger (Adrak) gave Shalimar extra points in my book! Will we be returning? YES! - Remember, they don't take credit cards - cash only."
