"As a couple we researched a local fondue restaurant and followed good reviews on here to choose L’Amitie.On arrival it was empty and the owners were outside smoking. Inside the restaurant smelt strongly of cigarettes so strongly considered leaving. We stayed because of a recent good review on Trip Advisor and we really wanted local fondue.No smile or engagement in terms of service. Almost sorry we took you away from your beer and cigarette.We ordered a beer and in poor French we said we were considering Fondue. A plate of sliced meat and bread arrived and thought this might be a complementary appetiser to have with our beer while we finalise our main course decision.......but then the cheese arrived and that was the whole fondue.The cheese and meat was good but thought it may have come with potatoes or a selection of meat as photos suggest.Generally a bit unimpressed and twinned with feeling unwelcome and then a larger than expected bill we left a bit disgruntled. (the meat was on top of the cheese and not worth another CHF24 when we thought it was appetiser size).Perhaps we caught them on an off day. Perhaps we should have been clearer ordering and known what to expect better.Sadly a very disappointing evening."

Charming restaurant in Eaux-Vives. Very welcoming, friendly and attentive staff! Their charcoal and accompanying sauces are delicious, the same goes for the fondues! Absolutely worth trying!

We were 5 and ordered the tomatoes fondue, which we reserved in advance. When it was served, it was with bread when we expected this fondue to be served with potatoes. We made the comment on the waitress and she told us that potatoes had to be reserved in advance. Anyway, we were served after a little wait and then calculated accordingly (chf 2 per person).

Das familiengeführte Restaurant ist ein wahrer Genuss. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und kümmerten sich um uns so gut wir aßen dort zwei Mal und hatten das gegrillte Fleisch Fondue (charbonard sowie der Käse (moitie moitie und das Öl Pot Fondue (Bourgogne . Die Qualität des Fleisches war unglaublich und die Pommes waren so gut! Es ist nicht billig (nirgendwo in Genf ist! aber wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen und der Service war hervorragend.

It was our first, good welcome, two very nice ladies. Ricard served with ice cubes!!! It's already dead!!! Why do I have to drink my Ricard with 5-6-7 ice cubes!!! Serve alongside the ice cubes in the water…Correct starters!!! When I saw 2 cooks at certain ages and when I saw the game menu, I immediately told myself that I was going to eat a superb game. The Chase 54 chf, Ok but the menu does not respond correctly to the price!!! I don't believe that you will be happy to pay this price for a failed Chasse menu like yours. With all due respect, go out, eat in places you don't know the boss. The game meat was too hard, dry... Brown, no good, too dry and inedible!!! Speatzli and red cabbage are...
