Cafe Frey - Menu

Gute Hausmannskost. Zuvorkommende Bedienung. Ambiente nicht hip aber gemütlich. Essen war sehr gut. Zwickel Bier vom Fass.

Just visited Vienna and came across this nice cafe. Very friendly staff, reasonable prices and superb goulash. Really enjoyed it.

Simple, delicious, fresh food! As a vegetarian, I really enjoyed their menu which offers traditional food. The ambience is wonderful, taking one back to with its artdeco style.

Das Café bietet eine kleine Auswahl typisch wienerischer Speisen, jeweils auch eine Tageskarte.Preiswert und lecker. Der gemütlichste Teil des Cafés ist leider noch Raucherbereich.Es ist auch möglich auf dem Gehsteig zu sitzen. Es wird auch Eis angeboten.

I seriously don’t think that the Viennese can make bad schnitzel. They serve really lovey tender pork schnitzel here and accompanied by tender potato salad. Goes so well with their white wine! Awesome food, wine, and people (very friendly waitress and chef Price is great...too!

Yet another in a long line of excellent cafes restaurants off the beaten track servicing locals. These are always the ones to look for in my eyes . Food was simply fantastic. Pork medallions in pepper sauce with sensational croquettes (abundant in number) and...vegetables to match. The recommendation of the Nut Pancake was against my better judgment but digested in an instance.... sensational. The beer and wine were outstanding and the service was personal and friendly and passionate .... loved this joint. Big big tick.

After of us ordered the waitress put a basket of breads to be exact) on the table. Normally store owner will let you know if they gonna charged you... but no she didnt say anything. So we only ate and she still...charged which i understand because its not like she can give the last one to someone else...but they charged € for each bread in the basket WHICH WE DIDNT ASK FOR IT...oh also even though they said the soda is (smallest bottle in the world ...lol) but they charged you At the end the grumpy waitress will REMIND you the tip is not included. I did tip her since she said it out LOUD...

Visited here with my husband, we were staying at hotel Bem Theresianim Wen just up the road. Do not let the old world decor put you off the food in here is really good! Traditional Austrian food sourcing local ingredients and compared with many of...the cafes in the city centre very reasonable. We had the boiled veal with fried potatoes and the veal weinerschnizal with potato salad and they were both great. We shared a bottle of Austrian wine (excellent) and had desert after and it all came to euro not bad at all. The lady who served us was lovely, spoke excellent English and was very friendly. Cafe Frey is a superb Old world cafe along Favoritenstraße that I always enjoy visiting on any holiday I take to this most beautiful of city's. The interior is lovely, vintage decor and furnishings, the main glass fronted serving bar dominates the main room ,theres...also plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Favoritenstraße.
