"I occasionally visit this pleasant little cafe with a good selection of snacks, meals, hot and cold drinks, wines, and other beverages. It is tucked away on a historic street in Plymouth, now surrounded by modern office and residential buildings. It seems to be popular among students and locals. During a visit on a hot day in May 2021, we enjoyed sitting at one of the outdoor tables in a sheltered corner with a view of North St and Sutton Harbour marina in the distance. This spot is friendly, affordable, unpretentious, and away from the hustle and bustle, despite a few cars parked nearby."

My partner and I frequent this cafe most weekends. It has a nice cozy vibe that makes you feel like you're on vacation. The lady who owns it is always friendly and polite. It's a must-visit spot.

Needed a quick bite on the way home with the kids, and hadn’t been to Cafe Kiss for a while. Lovely Lentil Curry for the missus’, great value burgers and chips for the rest of us. Hand made and tasty. There’s a brand new coffee machine in; even better than before, and it’s always been good. Cakes delicious.

We hadn't visited this restaurant in a long time and had forgotten that they serve delicious burgers. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that burgers are a specialty here, with options available on the menu for lunch and on special burger nights on Thursdays and Fridays. For more information, you can visit their website. View menu

With its relaxed trendy vibe, it is an ideal place to go for a catch up coffee and cake with friends, for a light lunch or an evening bite to eat or even just for drinks before a night out. Would highly recommend. I will be back again for sure

"Visited on a busy Saturday evening. General impression is the restaurant is clean, well presented and evidently well liked for how many people were in the small dining area. A little noisy, particularly in the confined space beside the kitchen, when seated close beside a louder table. As the evening progressed, we felt quite cold not sure if the heating was on? Service from the staff was outstanding, very friendly, polite, attentive, but food was slow to arrive. We were a little perplexed by having the appetiser on the table before our starter/main order had been taken, so having to work around still having the menus. The smoked butter was very strong my partner liked it, it was too much for me. Both fish starters were good, with the mackerel our favourite. The main courses were OK. The lamb was fine, but served with lamb fat root veg meant the whole plate was very similar flavoured, and the green beans/salsa verde felt like an afterthought. The skate wing was nice, and the crispy capers were a new and pleasant experience. The desserts rescued the food for me the creme brulée was outstanding, and the chocolate special was very good, with exception of a slightly chewy meringue. I feel I'm being picky with my criticisms, but fig tree is definitely priced higher than other more standard fare restaurants in Plymouth where we have also had very good food."
