"When, while walking in paris, we wanted to taste the true French cuisine, our choice went on the coffee the victor hugo, located on the square of the same name. the coffee has a very comfortable home atmosphere. the tables are close enough to each other, but there was no big world at lunch time and it did not disturb anyone. We ordered two glasses of fresh fruit juice, each serving of the famous onion soup, burgund beef with potatoes and meat bite with purée panais. lunch cost about 75 € for two, and it was delicious! But! the portions are simply huge, we were already full of soup, so all the main dishes were not eaten. it is clear that everyone has different appetites, but I would advise you to order a dish for two. service is beyond praise. the server tried to please in all and even said a few words in Russian, laughed long and spoke English fluently. I'd love to come back to this place!"

Came upon this restaurant while walking and shopping in the area. Very central location, good, traditional brasserie menu, fair prices, good service. I like it.

I frequent this place almost 2/3 times a week. But the service is not nice. we want to go so fast that we forget the elemental smile, hello thank you .... damage

I've had a few dinners here - one was good and two were outstanding. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is nice, the staff is really friendly and the food is usually great. View menu

We were staying two blocks from the restaurant. If you visit them ask for Alexander the bartender, excellent guy. The sliders were a great appetizer with two different types of French cheese. Delicious! And also a great onion soup.

the dish of the day was honorable but a little expensive. a note to 80 euros for 4 including two children. I admit it stings even if we weren't expecting a reasonable price in the neighborhood. friendly reception of servers even if this is what we expect from a catering professional.

I had dinner there, and in that area there are several restaurants that are really good and matches the standards in that high class area, however the food there was really well below my expectations. On top of that, it was expensive for the quality of the food which had no flavor at all. View menu

our betting drama is the leveling at the bottom of the brewery quality. In the capital, there is a form of complacency in the choice of dishes, formulas and wines, a kind of ease that will only bluffer tourists. But when we're raw, we don't get duped, and we're in pain. very quickly, emerges a certain ras-le-bol, filled with too fat fries, frozen vegetables, coffee or gourmet tea billed as high-fly pastry. poor victor hugo doesn't escape the rule. but, you have to say:- the sharp and well cooked knives (a market product, bravo!)- the fish of the fish

I had dinner with two colleagues in this restaurant because very close to the hotel. among the lowest seen around. the entrances are around 13 euros, the dishes from 6pm to 8pm. dishes are all refined and delicious, nothing to take for granted. excellent quality and adequate doses. We took a mixed in 3 (in bulk a taste of all entries) and only with that we were satisfied. each then took a second (I salmon tartare salad) remaining satisfied. courteous and quick staff has recommended for those who want/need to make a quick paris passage, perhaps for work, for a pleasant evening in a nice neighborhood.
