Im kleinen Gastgarten einen Eiskafe genossen. Schnelle freundliche Bedienung. Geschmacklich hervorragend zu einem für die Innenstadt sehr moderaten Preis.

We visited this place a couple of times for a few biers during a 4 night visit to Vienna and found it OK with the service friendly enough and the bier & kaffe of good quality and reasonably priced. View menu

too high prices for both the place and for the quality of sweets! The crocodile was of really ridiculous size, especially regarding the price (2,50€), the strudel knew nothing, in short, I would not return. the cafe dizzy and the cold environment.

Food is average, but behaviour leaves a lot to be desired. My 2 year old son got a bit more fidgety than usual and started playing with the salt dispenser. The cafe lady came and told us that such behaviour was hurting business and was...unacceptable! She completely ignored the fact that it was just a two year old behaving just like a two year old should! In hospitality, rather such behaviour is unacceptable..

Where short of I start?! The food was overpriced, served cold... it took about 45 minutes to get a cheese omelette, they charged us for bread which was reasonable, however they failed to let us know that they charge per each loaf. Example: 1 order of bread = 3 breads. They put out 6. 3 of which are slices and 3 loafs of bread. Not knowing they put out 2 orders. Very tricky. FYI, the bread was dry, and the butter was frozen. The coffee was burnt, by the time we got our food, the coffee was cold just like the rest of the food. Just bad service all around. View menu

Ich war mit meiner Familie Ende August in der Inneren Stadt unterwegs, wir sind von den Museen zur Oper spaziert, da haben wir das Café Restaurant entdeckt. Im kleinen, aber feinen Schanigarten haben wir zu Mittag gegessen. Ich war nicht wenig überrascht, als ich ein echtes Wiener Kalbsschnitzel auf der Speiskarte entdeckte, das ich auch bestellte, die Kinder aßen Bratwürstel mit Pommes Frites und meine Frau einen Salat mit Hühnerstreifen. Zur Nachspeise suchte sich jeder meiner drei Jungs eine leckere Torte aus und wir genossen einen gute Melange. Die Bedienung war freundlich und das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis war für ein Wiener Stadtcafé auch in Ordnung! Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufri...

I have noted that most of the reviews for this place are not great. Well, we only went on for tea and cake and it was good. Service was prompt and price was OK for these types of places. Not much of an atmosphere but...it was later in the day and quite quiet. My wife had a slab of cake which she said was really good and she knows her cake. Price was fine for what we had and what you expect to pay for tea and cake in these types of cafes, Not much on the gluten free front but then a lot of the smaller places can;t cater for everyone and you can accept that. I would reckon that peoples expectations are too high when going to places like this as it is a cafe at the end of the day and not a mich...

I suggest you avoid this place.We had been on our feet for several hours and it was raining so we took shelter in this cafe/restaurant looking for a coffee/tea and possibly a pastry or cake. What a mistake, as only a few hundred yards away were some lovely looking places.The place stank of cabbage and seats were grubby. Should have gone back out into the rain.We ordered a coffee, a tea and a piece of strudel. The coffee was just ok. The tea was dreadful, the cheapest ever bag, for which we were charged 4.20 euros. After having had beautifully served tea elsewhere in Vienna, including the provision of timers, I could not believe what I was paying for here. Fortunately, the strudel did not app... View menu
