Café – Rosengarten Hagen

this restaurant can be recommended to meats: large portions and well prepared. the atmosphere is not very cozy. a renovation would not be bad. it looks a little old-fashioned. the service and eating are highly recommended.

we were in the Christmas season in the restaurant and despite two great bonds we were served very nice and courteous. also the waiting period was not too long and the eating super tasty and plentiful. we are happy to come back!

large portions and a rather average kitchen with moderate trips. that was our impression after our visit today in this restaurant with Croatian cuisine. the service was satisfactory, worked with many guests in the restaurant but slightly overwhelmed.

Beautiful craftsmanship. Natural location with good air, spacious outdoor area (with visibility and wind protection); cozy and large rooms with the necessary space for family celebrations. Delicious dishes at moderate prices. Very friendly and attentive service. Well recommended.

.the first time there and disappointed. for 18:00 clock a table ordered and at 20:20 clock came the food, waited for drinks for a part 30 minutes. such a waiting period, especially with small children (1 and 3) you cannot accept. also for Christmas stress a no go! instead of pommes came salt potatoes, during exchange the meat was already slightly cooled. close to the exit, so toilet walkers and smokers constantly cough past us, does not contribute to the cozyness. but service was very friendly and courteous and the chef has a few times apologised and donated a dessert, but overall seen, no restaurant for us.

Because of a family affair, I had to go to Hagen on Friday. Madame had come because we wanted to spend the weekend together. At the end of the event I asked for a recommended restaurant as we wanted to eat something before we left or at least drink coffee in peace. Due to the non-existent parking spaces, we did not suggest a location in the city centre, but the Rosengarten in the Selbecke. When we arrived there, we saw several tables outdoors in a beer garden, and we were looking for a table there. Apparently we were the only guests at that time. Wegen einer Familienangelegenheit musste ich an diesem Freitag nach Hagen. Madame war mitgekommen, denn wir wollten das Wochenende noch weiter gemeinsam verbringen. Am Ende der Veranstaltung erkundigte ich mich nach einer empfehlenswerten Gaststätte, da wir vor der Weiterreise noch etwas essen oder zumindest in Ruhe Kaffee trinken wollten. Wegen der nicht vorhandenen Parkplätze schlug man uns keine Lokalität in der Innenstadt vor, sondern stattdessen den Rosengarten in der Selbecke.
