Might be a better experience for locals but as two English speakers (with some basic German) it didn’t feel very welcoming. No one seemed to want to interact with us so we couldn’t work out if it was table service or order at the bar. When we did finally get seated and get menus it was all German, which was fine but took us a while to work out. We ended up leaving as everything seemed very expensive for what it was and they didn’t really have anything we wanted to eat.

The cafe is very well located along the Goldbek channel. You can see boats passing by, ducks, geese and other birds are looking for a snack or entertain their wee ones. One can choose between one of a few spaces in the shadow or enjoy the sun (if there’s any) Despite other opinions regarding the service and quality of the food I can only report positive points. Having tried the scampis and mozzarella caprese the outcome was very positive. Very delicious and great value for my money. The service was attentive. The facilities were also clean. Having talked to some friends who are regular visitors at the cafe the food and service are always on a good level.

I and my aunt went to the cafe summer terraces for lunch with his beautiful location. we ordered two drinks and a potato with acidic cream. the food came before the drinks. we said the time for the drinks on the way was lost. no problem for us. but there was no excuse. not a great feeling of hospitality. in general, the service was not passionate or really nursing and I had to ask to check on our drinks when I had my food before me. no really attentive service. the food was good, drinking came when I finished the half of my teller. but no general review on my food, only when I finished my court.
