"I visit frequently for coffee and cakes, as part of a runout on my bike (Goldwing), often buying old library books! Run by volunteers who provide a good service. Cakes are locally and/or home made nice! Vegetarian options: There are options available, GF DF etc. Just ask. Parking: There is disabled parking on street and other parking near by. Be advised that the centre is on a hill. Kid friendliness: The Centre is also a library, so children are welcomed. Wheelchair accessibility: The centre is on a hill, with two levels the lower cafe is accessible from the street and the upper level from a pathway to the right or an internal chairlift (IIRC)."

Went in today, went up to the counter to order, waited and waited, one of the staff looked at me never spoke and ignored me, so did the woman collecting plates from tables when she came back to counter, so we walked out. Very disappointed, someone could have spoke and mentioned they would be with me in a minute as they were doing other things but just not speak, very bad. They can't want any business. Service: Dine in

"Went tonight for a birthday meal having never been before. A good selection of beers and some less available spirits on sale. We had the fish and chips, steak and ale pie and Ribeye steak. All arrived quickly and piping hot. Clearly all homemade and excellent quality. The portions were more than adequate and we are big eaters. There is a great wine list from the local vintners Sandham 's of Caistor...so good that we went and bought a couple of bottles of the Rioja Reserva that we had drank with our meal (still open 'til 19:30 on a Saturday) the wine list is comprehensive and inexpensive, covering all options. My son and I had the Tiramisu for desert and my wife the treacle sponge and custard. Again all brought out in a reasonable time. The quality of all was really good and clearly made to order...no microwave or defrost and serve here. We did book our table and were seated immediately on arrival. I have seen a few reviews suggesting that they were not accommodated and that this was a very locals only pub. Our welcome was warm but...this is the only pub in Caistor, it will be busy and there will be locals having a drink!!! There was some language but it was not insufferable and nothing compared to our local pubs! Pubs are for adults after all. We will certainly be going back, that menu needs working through! The front of house team tonight were young, but attentive and friendly, I bought them all a drink. If you can book, do so. This place punches above it 's weight on food quality! You will not go hungry!"

"This is my first visit to the restaurant, I visited here with my friend, I took her for afternoon tea for her birthday. We also took her little one with us. Afternoon tea was booked and paid in advance, As this s the requirement for afternoon tea. The staff where welcoming upon arrival, and extremely polite, the restaurant was warm cosy and clean, you could also smell the food cooking. We were seated to our reserved table, the waiter came to our table and gave us menus, so we could select drinks. My friend ordered a latte, I just had tea. The waiter took our menus away, the lady in the restaurant fetched another menu, to order little ones food from. She had chicken nuggets and potato tots, when her food came out I was shocked by the quality, freshly made food, not processed like you get elsewhere. Our afternoon tea was big, I was super happy that there was more savory available on it, so many places do too much sweet. The afternoon tea consisted of sandwiches, tuna cucumber, tuna mayo, chicken with mayo. Vegetable quiche, mini pasty, Yummy soup. Also a little pot of gherkins and cheese so much better than the mundane side salad. On the next tier where cakes, that consisted of brownie, Victoria sponge, I think trifle although taste was a mix of trifle and eton mess. Top tier had scones , 1 plain 1 fruit, jam, and cream for each one. The food was tasty and very filling, the brownie was lush and tasted like chocolate ganache. The scone was quite savory and you could taste the salt in it, I only add a little cream, and not jam as I don't like it on scones really, but that's just a preference. I liked everything I ate apart from the quiche, again that's just preference my friend enjoyed here's too. All together the cost was about £41.00. The afternoon teas are, £14.95 each. I would definitely visit again in the future. The staff are lovely and the food is quality. This restaurant is worth a visit.
