Cantinella - Menu

Great place They did not have an English menu but the staff is FRIENDLY and the pizza and ragu were PERFECT.

service kind of ok location is not the best pizza not good other entrees/plats quite expensive for the quality level....

Me and my family were looking for a restaurant next to the apartment we were staying and we found Cantinella!! The decoration is super nice, the woman that served us (maybe the owner) was adorable.. But the food, oh the food!! It was spetacular and with great prices.. We had our best meal in Paris for ours 4 days stay

The pizzas are big and interesting--everything from the usual to the special (like fig and gorgonzola). Salads are beautifully presented and taste good, too. Best of all, the service is friendly and professional (in French OR English), and the owners will treat you like regulars soon after you've made your second visit. A tip for lunch--get there at noon. By 12:30 the place is packed.

My wife, son, and I just finished a great, relaxed meal at Cantinella.it was a perfect evening:- Low key, yet inviting atmosphere and very good service- Good range of options for a local Italian menu- Food was very good, satisfying, and would recommend the pizza.- Small-ish place, but many folks who came in knew the ownerIf you're looking for a break from the tourists, and want a local, neighborhood-style dinner, this is your place. (Exactly what we needed after stampeding around with the tourist crowd all day)We would recommend and would definitely return.-RR

It's a pity that "Cantinella" is open only on workdays (for lunch and dinner, to boot!), for that meant that I could not sample the exquisite cuisine there very often. But that's my problem, not the proprietor's, for the pizza is amazing. Whether it's Quattro Stagioni, Napolitana or Regina, you don't have to think about it - it will be excellent. The only trouble is, the restaurant is small and one has to wait to be seated - it's always crowded there. Luckily, one can take away a pizza and not wait more than necessary ;) But for pizza like the one in "Cantinella", it's worth the wait.

I visited with my girlfriend whilst on a short trip in Paris and chose this restaurant using previous reviews. I can't speak a word of french so I checked the menu out before I got there and translated it however one of the waiters did speak some English. As we did not order a starter, before our main course we were given a complimentary appetizer which was excellent. After our dessert my girlfriend was given a complimentary glass of white wine. Overall all the dishes were delicious and perfect portion size. The bill was surprisingly cheaper than expected with the quality of dishes selected (cheaper than another restaurant visited the previous evening which was of a lower standard), very goo...

This was such a sweet discovery in the 14th. A wee Italian restaurant on the Faubourg St. Jacques about a mile from where we were staying. It was wonderful from the moment we arrived to the moment we walked out the door. Very little English but we got on just fine with our limited language skills. We used our wee bits of French and they used their much better grasp of English and we had a delightful meal. After we ordered, we were treated to a mini bite of a special appetizer from the chef - a delicious bit of toasted baguette with a pistachio sauce, tomato and cheese. Delicious. We ordered a carafe of wine and beef Carpaccio - they brought us the tomato Carpaccio and realized their mistake...
