"we were eating 5 today in this restaurant. we were well noticed the only guests at half a day. in this respect, the following should not have happened. drinks were only brought for 4 people, although we repeated the 3 times cola light, 2 cola more than once. Even when bringing the 4 drinks, the waiter did not notice that we were sitting at 5. the room was cold and the door at - 2 crad wide open. that we were eating with a little bite no one was interested in. only when we closed the door 2 times, the room became warm. when the food came the next surprise. we only got four more. this not even at the same time. 3 pizzen, an salate, a pita, should not represent an overburden. the 5 pizza just forget. to eat even pizza dark, pita dark, very salty...Salat okay. pizzateig was different than usual. Kind of foliage. to compensate for the missing pizza there was a tomaten mozzarella teller, you could also find it more salt tomato in oil drinks cheese. No one asked for new drink desire or cleared the table. to pay and leave the restaurant everything was still on our table. we will certainly not go to dinner again and recommend it any more."

pasta with seafood and pasta with bark fillet. Unfortunately, the spaghetti were totally cooked and the bark fillet was certainly not a beef fillet..For the price unfoamed. View menu

I had never got such a bad pizza in my whole life! de facto it was a frozen pizza, burned and inviolable! I made two bites and then left this locally! just a sweat what was up here! never ever!

we were last night together with my onkel, who has long lived there, a really great place, warm welcome and family environment, excellent cuisine, for the little ones we have ordered delicious Mignon pizzas ... very good value for money! I'll be back.

perhaps the place has not the best decoration and location of the world ... but in terms of the quality of eating it is far above any other Italian restaurant in the opposite. the pizza and pasta had a homemade note that made them delicious. little italy in the holstenstraße! View menu

we visited the restaurant before our musical visit. Unfortunately, it was the biggest pure in hamburg ever. the ambiente is cool and the service is not available in the round. first, the drinks were served in dirty glasses, as well as a tea in a glass that was clearly not suitable for this. we had an allergic woman who is strongly allergic to wheat flour and milk. despite several hints, the melone was first spread with parmaschinkens with gouda cheese. but it comes even worse, the ordered salad with cheese, was served with a cheese of cow milk. ask for several questions, which one is really about and again the note that a cheese from cow's milk is necessary for a hospital stay, the waiter as...

"There's always a question (in my mind, anyway) as to Michelin's accuracy/usefulness outside of France. In the US, it's not very helpful at all and in Europe ex-France, I've found it hit and miss. Haerlin represented only my second stab at a two-star in Germany and the first meal (Heinz Winkler), while a thoroughly wonderful overall experience, felt like the second star might have been a stretch. Not so at Haerlin, this was a two-star meal that stands fork-to-fork with any I can remember. The food is stylized to within an inch of its life, but close to flawless in both conception and execution. Outside of a large selection of generally unremarkable breads and a luke-warm roasted onion broth added to an amuse at table side that probably should have been hotter, the meal was simply one perfect dish after another. Maybe the sorbet intermezzo was a little old school in such a fashion forward meal, but - hey - it was delicious! Keep it.The room is suitably formal, luxurious in a traditional style, and quite comfortable. The pace of service might be a little leisurely for some (I ate alone and the four-course menu (seven + courses, including amuses, etc) pushed it a bit, stretching just over three hours. However, the friendly and attentive staff kept an eye out the entire time and stopped by if the time between courses presented the opportunity. The somm, in particular, was a great diversion, visiting from time to time to discuss the varied and interesting wines on offer. He provided useful insight into the outstanding selection of trocken Rieslings on the list. He guided me to a 2001 Burklin-Wolf GG that, at Eu 150, was both a great bottle of mature white and a tremendous value for a wine of this quality in this type of restaurant. (Good luck finding a white burgundy of this quality at this price at any multi-star restaurant - or at retail, for that matter.) He also suggested a wonderful German Pinot Noir by the glass that worked perfectly with the meat course and wasn't terribly expensive. The list is extensive, but not the tome you see at some restaurants, but don't be fooled - wine service at Haerlin is both a major plus and represents notable value in the context of multi-star restaurants.I'm not going to argue two-star vs three-star because that distinction often seems to be kind of mysterious (and tangentially related to the food), but I will say that this place certainly deserves two stars. I had just a flat-out great meal. If you can work in a visit, Haerlin should be high on your list."
