"This was my fourth visit but the first one with the new chef. I was pleased to see that the menu is really interesting, as it goes well beyond local tradition and ingredients, to reflect the Southern Italian origins of the chef. So for example today we had two of the best pasta dishes this year. One was spaghettoni with Piennolo tomatoes: nowhere to hide with such a simple dish, but it was perfect, supported by the wonderful, rich and abundant tomato sauce, the high quality of the pasta and the exemplary cooking. The other was mixed pasta with a pumpkin cream, the pasta delicately perfumed with herbs and olive oil, resting on the sweet pumpkin bed; a classy dish. Less successful was a main of bavette steak, which came cut in strips with a very salty and over reduced jus, the anchovies wrapped in the accompanying cabbage slightly strident. But the other vegetarian main of cep mushrooms with cheese creams was again excellent, a luscious, flavoursome, rich yet balanced dish. And the desserts featured top ingredients: a superb panettone with custard and vanilla sauce, which we literally licked off the plate : ; and ditto for an assortment of lovely chocolate (Valrhona in different textures and colours. The ambience is the unique and spectacular one of a real castle in a mountain setting. Service was smooth. Prices remain moderate considering the quality, and also the quantity (some good and well priced wines too . Castel Pergine is one the most amazing places in Trentino and I hope they will continue to make it a special venue for food lovers with such lovely cuisine."

from the park of the three chestnut trees with a walk of about 1 km you reach the castle of pergine, from where you enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and the city of valsugana pergine.

in the rooms of the ancient castle of castel pergine we have really enjoyed dinner. the staff of the restaurant was very kind and very professional, excellent food and special. we were also guests of the hotel where we were greeted and cared for by the lively and intelligent château cristina. we slept in the square tower, surrounded by the silence of the fresh star nights of late August. We had lunch at Castel Pergine on a Sunday. Being in a true, ancient castle was amazing. The barrel vaulted architecture is a testament to engineering in early times. The service and food was excellent, as was the local wine. There is a long winding road leading to the castle and a narrow gate as you reach the building itself. Be aware that if you have a large vehicle (we had rented a van) it is very difficult to manuever through the gate, and backing down the hill would be extremely difficult. A European automobile should do fine.

this is the comment of the couple with which we stayed for a dinner and a night at castel pergine! cordial welcome from the lady cristina and of all the staff, really particular environment, the historical rooms where we slept very comfortable, the living room where to make aperitif and suggestive breakfast, very beautiful in its simple elegance the dining room. Menù degotazione with refined courses of excellent quality, the best braised of beef I have ever eaten. the view from castel pergine on the lake of hot water and the valley below dream, at any time of the day, from sunrise to night passing through a romantic sunset. What else to say, if you look for a romantic place immersed in the q...
