"Average fair at a better price than elsewhere in town. Unremarkable menu items and even a bit touristy though the atmosphere and wait staff are quite good. The restaurant is located in the stone lined cellar of a storefront on the main street in Riquewihr....Menu items are pretty much the same things you will see throughout the town. The munster cheese and pasta dish was excessively heavy and the pork plate was of average quality with somewhat dry pork slices and horseradish sauce (not a pork knuckle as would be expected)."

There were no seats available outside so we headed inside. A mixture of a little bit of everything decorated their indoor seating. The menu seemed limited but we came mostly for the crepes. My husband had the French onion soup which was quite tasty. I...had a decent frommage crepe while the kids had sweet crepes; Nutella and banana. The service was okay. We spoke German to communicate. Adequate but nothing special. View menu

we wanted to try something typical Alsatian so that we both went for the special menu with rabbit terrarine, followed by a meeting tar and a lemon sorbet as dessert. the terrine was served with a large salad I couldn't finish for. I apologized I was very surprised and disappointed naturally when the desire was served with an even larger salate! what an unimaginable chef! eating was nothing special, but we liked the worm-traminer and the Livd music (banjo and clarinette) was excellent.

it was cool and rainy, so we were looking for something in the door. this cellar was cozy and welcoming. we ordered the menu du jour complet and the baeckaoffa de canard. that was my first baeckaoffa, which seems to be roasted and sweet in many times. the duck was tasty and the potatoes were okay. we really enjoyed the appetizers that contain some kind of stainless quiche. I tried the Pinot-Noire that was good and then the PN-Barrique-excellent. we also really enjoyed the salads and berries dessert.

"L'Alchemille is a 1 star Michelin restaurant located in the Alsatian village of Kaysersberg. The menu here is a surprise, you just get to choose between 5, 7 or 9 course. The chef will gives what what he wants, what's fresh that time in his garden, and what he feels like cooking. I like the element of surprise so it wasn't an issue. Before you're asked if there are any ingredients you don't eat, or if you have any allergies,Service is good, not so much fluent in English but in a way or another you get to communicate. Wine list is good and includes wines for everyone's budget, somellier is more towards selling expensive wines, but he knows his job.Dinner kicked off with a bottle of Cremant,a nicely presented amouse bouche and fresh bread, It then followed with a variety of dishes which included potato mousse, beef tomato with basil snow. deer tartare, salmon, mustard zabaion, pigeon leg, munster and 2 desserts. The star of the night was the beef tomato with herbs and basil snow, followed by the pigeon with glazed peas, carrot puree and pigeon juice. To finish off we were given some petit fours, not bad but it can be improved. We later had a chat with chef Jerome Jaegle who surely has a passion for what he does, and no wonder he was awarded a Michelin star, his creativity on a daily basis is something few can do and maintain such a standard.Total came to around €130 including mid priced wine, 9 course is reasonably priced at €78.If you're in the area, it's a place you'd love to visit. I'll be back."
