"we wanted to have a taste in the family, the setting we enjoyed, the style of tea lounge we loved. Unfortunately no one to welcome us that said the person was alone to welcome and serve. Several tables were served before us, we Parisian we had to know how to live and we are on holiday so we wait, especially children...The organic nickel tea and a big brand, very hot in quantity to say knowing that I am a tea addict, I enjoyed it. The milkshakes did not rain to the children in fact we tasted and the great surprise of the perlinpinpine powder. No fruits, no ice creams too much sugar!Children are used to drinking the homemade milkshakes of papa cook! The part of cake is ridiculous it could be bigger...This is for a tea salon in the province expensive to taste!"

Visiting Castres on my own, I dropped by for lunch and loved the lunch format. By the way, it gets busy so if you're with a group, consider booking. Choose from the quiche of the day (hard choice but my duck magret and roquefort was excellent). A chocolate fondant and green tea made it a great meal. View menu

Very nice address. a small pedestrian street in the center of the castres. the possibility of reading, playing. but above all, to appreciate a careful and very friendly service. we went there the afternoon. on the papillae side, don’t pass next to the chocolate melt, a tuerie ... and the creamy hot chocolate a treat, you prefer tea no problem! great choice! side fruit juice c is organic!

located in the center of town dabs a small alley, this restaurant with its cozy atmosphere has a lot of charm. The staff is friendly, the service is fast. The tarte-salade-dessert principle is simple but the variety of pies makes it necessary for all tastes. Besides, it changes frequently. place where you like well went to lay the time of a small meal don't forget to book because quickly full!!!

"The Mediéval occupies an 11th-century building built on the left bank of the Agout River; you enter from the first street to the east — the door is a few steps below street level. We chose this restaurant because one of our party had been here ten years ago and had a very positive memory of it. We weren’t disappointed. Its name refers both to the date of its building and to its ambience: the room has a vaulted ceiling supported by arches, thick walls, an old wooden cabinet, and some medievalish decorations. The main room holds about fourteen tables; a further couple of tables are in an adjoining alcove, and a porch overlooking the river allows a couple of small tables, used seasonally. The tables are placed fairly close to one another but the feeling isn't quite cramped, especially as only four other tables were being used. The white tablecloths and sturdy chairs enhance to the comfortable feeling. We were greeted warmly for lunch, and the daily specials were explained to us. The 17€ menu of the day seemed good value. There were no choices. It began with a light and tasty fish mousse on salad greens with vegetables; this was the most creatively conceived and interesting part of the meal. It was followed by a "plat" of turkey with a particularly notable mushroom gravy and mixed mashed potatoes. The dessert was pears in a rich caramel cream. As others have noted, the portions are generous. Nothing could have done better, though I’d reinforce what another reviewer says, that with the gravy, mash, and caramel cream dessert, this was by no means a low-fat meal. Good crusty rolls were given us and replenished. We included a bottle of recent Gaillac wine, modestly priced. Service was quite friendly, but, as other reviewers have noted, sometimes a bit slow, since the staff is small. (Accordingly, I've rated the service "average", but it was much better than average in warmth.) We were in no hurry, though, and didn’t mind. Given its pleasant setting and and comfortable room, the friendliness of the staff, the good value, and the very interestingly conceived and well prepared (though rich) food, I’d recommend the Mediéval to others."
