"we wanted to have a taste in the family, the setting we enjoyed, the style of tea lounge we loved. Unfortunately no one to welcome us that said the person was alone to welcome and serve. Several tables were served before us, we Parisian we had to know how to live and we are on holiday so we wait, especially children...The organic nickel tea and a big brand, very hot in quantity to say knowing that I am a tea addict, I enjoyed it. The milkshakes did not rain to the children in fact we tasted and the great surprise of the perlinpinpine powder. No fruits, no ice creams too much sugar!Children are used to drinking the homemade milkshakes of papa cook! The part of cake is ridiculous it could be bigger...This is for a tea salon in the province expensive to taste!"

"Having read the reviews I was expecting great things out of this restaurant but was very disappointed on several counts but let's start with the good point. First I really appreciated that the waitress told me the wine I had ordered was a sweet wine which I was happy to change to a dry one. Second, the food did have great flavours and was well presented. The bad points, we arrived and were then served an amuse-bouche but did not have anything to drink because they hadn't taken our drinks order. Next, the risotto was served with a pouched egg but mine still had the egg white running and my wife's was over cooked. What annoyed me most was the waitress stated when I told her that "it was cooked like this", what one over cooked and one under cooked. Her attitude was not one of customer service and I wasn't complaining as I only left the egg. Next we had Tuna and for the first time in my life it was cook through, maybe that is the way they do it! Sorry but this place did not live up to its Michelin star"

"First time for me in a restaurant. At first sight it looks nice. hosted by a very smiling server. After getting to know the map I ask the server if it is possible to change the quinoa by a can of fries and salads, it answers me coldly and categorically than not. So I'm asking for a burger with a chicken net. We waited more than an hour before we were served. (when people arrived 15min after us we were served and had finished while we were still not served) I even thought of a moment that we were forgotten. No bread on the table and a long wait before finally having a water carafe. Our dishes finally arrive and the big disappointment is not at all the burger I asked. I have an unhappy cooked and cooked chopped steak and a small slice of cheese. I didn't say anything about fear of having to wait for another hour while we were hungry. But my boyfriend had a very good ward! I'll go back to it maybe make a second opinion, but I'm not convinced. Too bad."

"Aujourd’hui le plat du jour était “risotto aux gambas et st jacques” et je peux vous dire que c’était un grand moment dans l’histoire de la gambas ! tout le monde est adorable et la qualité est au top de ce qu’on peut souhaiter. Bien placé dans castres avec un grand parking à côté . Un adresse excellente !"

"We arrived at this small square by chance while walking in the city and were immediately seduced by this picturesque and calm place. The welcome is personalized, friendly and attentive. The cuisine is simple but refined and the price is really very low because for starter main course dessert you get 17e, which allows you to enjoy a good wine as an accompaniment and for the children a top-of-the-range fruit juice, which they have really appreciated. We left very happy with this culinary discovery and the friendliness of its owners. I recommend this address."

"This evening Thursday May 9, very long service, too long. Arrival at 8:00 p.m. Waiting 5 minutes at reception even though there are 4 tables. The waitresses are still cleaning... Order of 5 menus. 3 adults 2 children. Adult starters and children's meals served at the same time around 8:25 p.m. Our adult dishes arrive more than half an hour later. 9:33 p.m....the desserts finally arrive... . And there disappointment..... The farandole... However, we come regularly... This evening is a disaster... We were given a discount... We would have preferred a service without inconveniences."

"Very good tapas but service provided by one of the men's staff not at all pleasant with disparaging remarks while we were at the beginning of service I can't imagine at the very moment of fire. Female staff is very friendly."

"We had come to lunch two years ago in this restaurant that started and seemed very promising to us, especially by the energy of this young boss who put a real will to do only quality, to start cooking only fresh products. Two years have passed and promise kept !! We now see the master's degree in the room and in the kitchen. the products are good, so the kitchen is good!! presentations and dressages are pleasant, modern, but without ostentation. the important remains the taste in the plate. It's better to book because this restaurant has to refuse people! We were victims of this local notoriety, but our patience was rewarded the next day by a dinner that so pleased us!at the time when more and more restaurants cook only "what done" or almost, the approach to offering only fresh and home-made must be welcomed and encouraged. We hope to return faster than in two years to discover other culinary delights!"

"We dined in mid October on an evening that was warmer than we might normally expect. There was a hen party of about a dozen lively women in the restaurant (partie de poule can't be the right translation surely) but service was good and the food was of reasonable quality especially the profiteroles which were excellent. The restaurant is right on the central square and so is also good for people watching."

"A no-nonsense welcome, totally botched cooking, and risbs that made me sick two hours later. All this for a price that would have been pretty decent if the toppings were more generous. The worst part is that we go back each time only to be disappointed. And to you who was going to respond to my opinion, there is no point in saying that you are going to take my opinion into account, if in fact nothing changes. Shame on you for making people sick. We could also talk about your free salad, two salad leaves and a slice of tomato with your good sauce. It seems to me that before, there was also corn and red beans. Positive point the waiter was attentive and even asked us if everything was okay. See you in a year"

"Ce n’est plus le snack de la gare mais « le café de la gare » ! Pour le moment c’est plutôt un salon de thé très agréable avec des fauteuils et canapé bien confortables. Bon café et chocolat chaud. Pâtisseries du moyen orient. Croque monsieur et sandwiches. Le nouveau propriétaire est très sympathique et il prévoit des plats d’ici quelque temps. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"during our holiday, we wanted to take 2 pizzas to take away. The pizzaiolo didn't want to make the effort to remove the elemental from the pizza and to put only mozzarella. He told us about a not friendly tone at all. He was a dirty girl. And the pizza dough is not terrible... they are precooked before making pizza. 12 euros pizza is expensive!"

"The Mediéval occupies an 11th-century building built on the left bank of the Agout River; you enter from the first street to the east — the door is a few steps below street level. We chose this restaurant because one of our party had been here ten years ago and had a very positive memory of it. We weren’t disappointed. Its name refers both to the date of its building and to its ambience: the room has a vaulted ceiling supported by arches, thick walls, an old wooden cabinet, and some medievalish decorations. The main room holds about fourteen tables; a further couple of tables are in an adjoining alcove, and a porch overlooking the river allows a couple of small tables, used seasonally. The tables are placed fairly close to one another but the feeling isn't quite cramped, especially as only four other tables were being used. The white tablecloths and sturdy chairs enhance to the comfortable feeling. We were greeted warmly for lunch, and the daily specials were explained to us. The 17€ menu of the day seemed good value. There were no choices. It began with a light and tasty fish mousse on salad greens with vegetables; this was the most creatively conceived and interesting part of the meal. It was followed by a "plat" of turkey with a particularly notable mushroom gravy and mixed mashed potatoes. The dessert was pears in a rich caramel cream. As others have noted, the portions are generous. Nothing could have done better, though I’d reinforce what another reviewer says, that with the gravy, mash, and caramel cream dessert, this was by no means a low-fat meal. Good crusty rolls were given us and replenished. We included a bottle of recent Gaillac wine, modestly priced. Service was quite friendly, but, as other reviewers have noted, sometimes a bit slow, since the staff is small. (Accordingly, I've rated the service "average", but it was much better than average in warmth.) We were in no hurry, though, and didn’t mind. Given its pleasant setting and and comfortable room, the friendliness of the staff, the good value, and the very interestingly conceived and well prepared (though rich) food, I’d recommend the Mediéval to others."

"Relatively new restaurant in Castres that specializes in a simple formula of either pasta & salad or salad composée (you get to choose the 6 items apart from the salad leaves) with your choice of dressings. My friend and I both had the salad plates which were very fresh and delicious, served with good bread. The basic salad (or pasta & small salad) is 8 euros; if you add a dessert or drink it's 10 euros; if you add BOTH a dessert & drink it's 11.50. Good value for money. The expresso afterwards was an extra 1.50 euros and was good quality. The choice of desserts was wide and though I don't usually have dessert, the creme caramel was one of the best I've tasted--fait maison--made on site. My lunch partner had TWO desserts and the chocolate mousse was wonderful too.The portion sizes are generous. The women operating the place were charming and went out of their way to assist my friend who has special food issues. In good weather the restaurant is open to the street--which makes nice people-watching, though you might find the street noise a bit much. Centrally located just off Place Jean Jaures in the heart of Castres. It's only open for lunch: 11.30-3pm. They do take-aways too--so if you needed a picnic for a car journey, this would be good option."

"My husband and I have spent the past two weeks in France. Delicious food ... BUT not a ton of variety where we've been cycling so we were THRILLED to discover Delices D'Asie. This restaurant did not disappoint. Great sized portions, delicate flavors, and as I'm a vegetarian, CHOICES!!!!! In France, I'm actually a Veg-Italian, because they consider anyone who doesn't eat fish, or eat any oyster or fish sauce basically a Vegan. Good to know, right? I had a delicious noodle dish with tons of vegies and also a tofu dish - the owner who has a friend who makes tofu for the restaurant so it's fresh and delicious. If you're looking for a chance of taste in France - no cheese, bread, or typical fare, this restaurant is fantastic, quaint, casual, and a real treat."

"It is an Asian restaurant at will as there are so many others. We went there several times and the last time I found a change but not positive. the beautiful nuts of saint jacques had disappeared, replaced by knives defrosted I think. a my opinion the cook did not know how to cook them because he boiled them to me and then they were almost immangeable, like rubber. Avoid the mussels intake, without taste, and with a chemical sauce. I also fell on a spring roll that I couldn't finish because of a laundry taste. short, except for the nems and fritures and fresh vegetables for the wok, the rest of the industrial kitchen that has nothing to do with real Asian cuisine. It's too bad. even lemon chicken (which had no lemongrass taste), lacquered pork and yakitoris were not. Sweet side, that's all. still a shame, and yet it is not so complicated to put two or three desserts worthy of this name. Strawberries industrial tagada côtoientes bears in marshmallows, canned fruits, chocolate fountain (mi vegan chocolate), and floating islands that do not float at all because there are only snowy whites! In short, the restaurant that offered before a better quality in these choices is sinking in quality. the room is very large as inhabiture and can be too large, lack of intimidation. positive point: the young server very kind and energetic."
