"We ate here on one of our three nights whilst staying at this lovely old Chateau. It is as much a dining experience as anything. We, the six sets of guest having dinner that evening, assembled outside on the terrace for aperitifs. The menu is...a fixed three course affair, which is loosely scheduled for Any allergies having been checked at the time of booking. Following the ordering of the wine, which is mostly local and explained in great detail, we moved to the outside tables and were served our three courses. These were each beautiful crafted and served without delay. The Chef, a charming Lady, came out to talk with each of us as the evening progressed and to ensure that we had all been happy with her creations. All in all a very nice meal. Following the offer of digestives and coffee we all moved off to our rooms, or in our case for a walk around the village before bed. The service was impeccable and a real effort was made to ensure that we were all looked after."

No choice at dinner, but this is not a drawback as each meal I have had here has been excellent. The food combines simplicity, elegance and flavour in a way that is not matched by any other restaurant I have found in many visits to...this area of France.

Went here with my wife for the meal after New Years! A lovely location and a brilliant little restaurant. The owner only opened up for the of us so we were served alone in a delightful dining room. Fare was good French food at...a very reasonable price accompanied by a good wine list.

Siran is a delightful small town of people surrounded by vineyards and wine makers! This hotel fits in perfectly with its surroundings. It is classy [understated], comfortable with bilingual service (English French) and its restaurant, while offering limited choice excels at what is...presented for all meals! Definitely worthy of its star rating!!

We booked in here last minute for two days in mid-summer and got a large room. The reception was excellent, the room was excellent and we decided to eat there too. The menu was fixed, three-course but they had flexibility for my gluten and lactose-free...wife. Superb choice of local wines and even a few local spirits (Pastis from Carcassonne recommended). I would definitely stay here again, very peaceful.

We stayed in the Chateau as a Valentine's Day treat. The hotel is very nice, but the meal was a big disappointment. The service started only at No choice, set menu take it or leave it. Only courses and not well done....The soupe was served nearly cold. The main course a bit of Pintade was served on a risotto, that was so salty that it killed any other taste that there might have been. Dessert was a little apple tart, just as you get it in any bakery. The local wine was good but overprized. View menu

I have now been in France for days and this has been by far the best meal. They now offer menus and I chose the more expensive one at euros. Perfectly cooked foie gras with piquillo peppers and raspberries was followed by...a very good magret de canard with roasted figs. The cheese course euros extra) was a selection of goats cheeses from Combebelle and the dessert was a heavenly Valrhona chocolate and praline with kumquats. There is a good list of local wines with a few half bottles available. Do not miss this restaurant if you are in the Minervois.

I have been lucky enough to stay here on two occasions and have enjoyed the food enormously. This time, staying nearby with friends, I brought them here for dinner and they were captivated by the ambience and the food. There is no choice of courses...here but they were able to cater for a vegetarian when notified in advance. The food was simple, elegant and perfectly cooked and presented, with interesting flavour combinations including a starter of red mullet and bacon on pesto with tiny tomatoes and a main course of beautifully cooked pork fillet with goat's cheese and a salad of roasted pineapple and peppers. The dessert was a stunning sugar glazed lemon choux. All this for only euros each...
