"Three British families who have come to this area every summer for on average 10 years met up for dinner here on a Monday evening. Helpfully the restaurant is open on a Monday evening unlike most in the area. None of us recognise the experience of the previous UK reviewer. On the contrary, we were of the view that this is one of the best places in the area.We went for the Renaissance menu at 36 euros. The dinner was wonderfully creative with masterchef-type twists. For example, the Dorade was beautifully cooked on a bed of interestingly woven vegetables. The puddings included a modern expression of a raspberry rolly-poly, called a 'Bras de gitan'. There is a good choice of local wines starting at 16 euros a bottle. The setting is what clinches the deal. The courtyard of a well-cared for medieval hotel chateau means you are surrounded by architectural beauty."

Dinner for two in an open courtyard. Fine dining with an even finer wine menu topped with great service at a very reasonable price

The courtyard is a lovely place to dine. They offer multiple set menus at different prices and A La Carte. The food was very good but quite pricey however the staff were lovely and the pace of service was perfect. Definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant is definitely worth a detour if you like nice food in a historic castle. By beautiful weather, you eat on the inside and the dishes are delicious. The service is excellent and very cared for. Class. Well, the prices are also in the affair.

the setting is beautiful, the impeccable service, the entrances and very medium dishes (menus to 58€).... fortunately that cheeses and desserts are the level! with wine and aperitif at 4, a fairly salty addition for nearly 250, which we would have paid with pleasure if it had earned them.

a summer night, warm and bearable, in the courtyard of a Renaissance castle (hotel) surrounded by other dining rooms distributed around the sound of the harp that accompanied the dinner and the melodious voice that transported us to other times, to the origins of the castle owners. the night fell and the light adorned the stones of the building, sublimely decorated. and continued the music as the dishes arrived, a kitchen suitable to the place, with professional and friendly waiters, all suitable to make the moment unforgettable. And that is what you ask for a good table: not to feed, but to turn the moment into unforgettable.

lunch a nice Sunday with friends who started with a warm and attentive welcome. apéro d'un verre de blanquette, frais et pétillant, followed by a small amuse-gueule. choice of the renaissance menu - the soup was exquisite and the calf cooked to perfection. excellent recommendation for the wine of a beautiful map with great choice. a discreet and very attentive service - perfect. This restaurant offers fresh products, prepared with a wonderful imagination that are a feast of taste buds. really an excellent value for money for the very high level of cuisine and dishes offered. Certainly one of the best restaurants anywhere. deserves a detour.

We ate here on our first night. The service was excellent and the food beautifully presented. We were given lovely amuse bouche to begin which consisted of a piece of beef with melon balls in a melon sorbet. Very refreshing! We had the set menu and chose the cube of pork and the trout rillette to begin. Both were delicious. We followed with the duckling and again that was delicious. The meals were served with flair and panache and the outdoor setting is stunning. Desserts were chocolate pudding and raspberry rolled sponge cake and these came with an additional dish of brandy snap, macaron and quince jelly. With a glass each of blanquette and a bottle of Syrah rose this made for a delightful...

The restaurant food was at best average and overly priced compared to similar eateries in the area. The local wine available in the surrounding vineyards is sold to their customers at a massive mark up and certainly does not represent any sort of value. The food was warm, but not hot and most went back untouched. It lacked flavour and imagination and I was not even asked how I wanted my steak cooked. I got it how they wanted to cook it. I was not asked how the food was, but I expect they knew by the full plates that were returned. Food was served at the table at different times, meaning some people were unable to start eating and the vegetarian on our table was served meat and told it was ve...
