"We just happened upon this little treasure one Friday morning. Tucked down a little shopping arcade heading toward Sainsburys supermarket, it's easy to miss but so glad we found it. It's very basic but clean tidy and plenty of tables big enough for families. You can also sit outside too. It is run by a group of young Turkish men and they are all very polite pleasant and hardworking. Each of them served ,cooked, cleared tables and kept service running very smoothly. The breakfast menu was very exstensive with so many different combination and also offered full vegertarian cooked breakfast. We had a variety of things from bacon egg buttie sausage bacon egg buttie to a full large English served with a tea or coffee and toast for £6.50. All of the ingredients, the bacon, sausage everything was good quality and cooked beautifully our plates all went back empty nothing was left it was delicious in fact we enjoyed it so much went back for each day of our stay in Chertsey. We booked in at the local Travel lodge to visit Thorpe Park but not really a fan of the breakfast boxes on offer and we just went looking for a cafe and found this great place. They also offer hot meals and snacks during the day....definitely will be back on our Next visit down South. Good quality and very good value for money!"

Excellent service, four meals (three breakfast, one main meal) all meals were of very generous portions with good quality food cooked to perfection. Only one person had room for dessert!!

Excellent food in great varieties compared to your standard cafe. You will not be disappointed if you visit this cafe. The most reliable, respectful and friendly family run business in the area, and surrounding areas. The standards do not drop, with taste and portion sizes!

Very poor. They only accepted cash, which isn’t ideal during a pandemic. They also got one of our meals completely wrong and took such a long time to correct it that the other person had finished their meal before the correct meal arrived. And when that meal did arrive, it was very badly cooked.

We were staying at a campsite locally and catching a train into London and wanted a breakfast before we set off. We came across the Chertsey cafe and their menu for breakfast was immense! We both had the special breakfast which was sausage, bacon, beans, bubble squeak and toast. I asked for my included coffee to be strong and it certainly was and very tasty. The service was good and friendly and even though it's just a cafe, the standard of food was great and we would definitely recommend for a hearty breakfast! View menu

A lot of choice on the menu for both breakfast and lunch, I thought about a chilli jacket potato and saw there were some specials on the board including lasagne but only after I’d already ordered a special grill. Very well cooked, especially the fries which were light and crispy and the egg, firm white runny center. The tea was too milky and the bag was left in. I would ask for this to be different next time and perhaps I should have been asked how I like it but on the whole I was not disappointed. Simple well cooked food. Great value. Lots of people in there of all types, plenty of room and very clean. Be aware it’s cash only. I will be back.

We chose to have breakfast here twice during our visit to Chertsey and both times the breakfasts for our family were delicious. There is a good menu with loads of choice and a selection for vegetarians as well. The prices and portions are good. Efficient friendly service and the waiters were helpful. One day we sat inside the cafe and the next day out in the seating area in the shopping arcade. All tables were socially distanced for COVID-19. There were newspapers and magazines to read. We loved the cappuccino too Would have given five stars but not keen on having to pay by cash. We never use cash and this was a little bit of an inconvenience and not the most hygienic option right now. Hig...

"we had a great lunch card yesterday in the tudor room. it is in the did a room, with perhaps 8 tables overall, and a bit dark, but with beautiful view of the beautiful gardens that are worth visiting. the staff was very friendly and took the time to thoroughly explain each court. they were particularly attentive, maybe something too much so (constantly looking at us), but it did not spoil the experience as eating was really high-quality, definitiw worth a Michelin star. we were greeted with some beautiful canapés, followed by a small olive oil and exalted pre-starter, which subtle and refreshing, even though on the small side. the brot and the butter were very nice, warm and crusty as it should be in a restaurant this standards. we then had dinner: my pigeon was particularly beautiful, but the cold crumb dish of my gaste was not so tasteful. also the seabream has been refined, but not exceptional. for the net I had a really tasty pork (from different parts of pork, including some delicate wange cooked in grill sauce) and my guests had the equally well executed turbot with beautiful parmesan gnocchis. for dessert we had two a light and exquisite dish that celebrated the earthy of the gariguette (compressed, fresh, as sorbet, tuile) and the other gast enjoyed a rich manjari chocolate sponge with coffee cream and yuzu sorbet. both desserts were equally good, but the aromen in the starters and netzen could have been more consistent. only three tables of the room were used on a Friday afternoon, asking me why cancellation would cause a fee within 48 hours. overall the experience was great, the service was error-free and we will probably return, but we had even better eating in the latymer, which today is unfortunately closed on Friday for lunch. if possible, I would have got 4 and half a star. a lunch is nice, the gardens are also beautiful. highly recommended."
