"As when the old Albert was around, you cant count on a warm friendly welcome, as is the French way.... the saving grace is the good food!!! The restaurant is a little pricey, we were a table of were all surprised when we ordered...cocktails that no nibbles were served with it. I agree with the sea bream tartare is succulent. Try the pluma basque pork- it melts in your mouth and leaves you wanting more. The cooked fish pleased those who ordered it perfectly cooked fresh fish, if you dont mind a few bones. We enjoyed our appetizers and entrees so much no one ordered dessert. A sneak peak of their famous strawberry dessert didn't seem very outstanding so no regrets. The environment, old port startles you because you are actually sitting in front of parked cars.....go for the cooked food, the seafood platters are a rip off!!"

Long history of quality service at this prime location restaurant in the old fisherman's port. Terrific waiter with excellent advice and prompt service. Great food.. Even better wine. Book early. Always busy

six of us have sung here for a busy lunchtime and have no complaint at all. the service was good, starter and net were similar good. the gloomy we didn't really need was a bit cut. but not enough to put me away from the recommendation. View menu

Welcoming staff presented a well paced, well executed seafood meal enhanced by a lovely first course of ceps in season. Our rapport with our server was high contrast to the previous night's haughty treatment at another Biarritz restaurant.

Went for fish. Got fish. It was fresh. That was it. No structure, not well presented on the plate, just basic food. A tiny cup of mashed potato, and carrots. Expensive: euros. We were still hungry afterwards and went for a huge ice...cream into town! Summary : fresh (greasy) fish you get.

The food here is some of the best you will ever get. I ate the monk fish, oysters and ice cream and Ive got to be honest was probably one of the best meals ive ever had. Delicious, nice wine and very pleasant staff. Its...worth it, although I would recommend sitting outside and making sure you specific exactly where you want to sit as they have a habit of changing. the only similar restaurant I know is perrard in le touquet and it was great to get a similar experience, I am biarritz. located in the old harbour, it is remarkable for its beautiful display of muscheln. piles of fresh oysters, crabs, crevettes and all the...Favourites that we sometimes miss, winkles, whelks, clams and grises washed with some well expensive muscadet. good menu of fish and the strange meat dish if not in shellfish. highly recommended and should be classified at ta higher.

This is one of three or four restaurants overlooking the small harbour and they are all busy so if you want an outdoor table you need to book. We were seated indoors which also has a nice atmosphere! We specifically wanted to try paella and...it didn't disappoint. It was a large portion for two to share and had lots of sea food. The other fish and meat dishes were good as was the baked chocolate dessert although the fruit salad with local yoghurt wasn't so impressive. Service was a bit slow and, given the prices, it is a solid star performance but not quite a

"We had only one night to enjoy Biarritz. Our research led us to dine at Le O2 Verdun. It was the perfect choice. Francois took care of us all evening. He was both charming and perfectly attentive. He thoughtfully helped us chose our dishes (there were a couple of additions to the prixe fix menu) and Francois helped describe each dish to us because our French is not so good! The chef/owner is so incredibly talented! This is a Michelin star quality restaurant but it is inexpensive. Don’t let the low fool you! The quality of the dishes and their ingredients was exceptional! Every morsel of every dish was amazing, from the bon bons filled with local cheese and ham that melted in your mouth to the homemade foi gras, to the cod with peppers and spices that were so subtle but perfect, to the calamari special in a garlic sauce that was divine! Their chocolate fondue and brioche French toast were delicious! We were stuffed! All of that deliciousness for less than 60 Euros, 29.90 each! Of course, we paired it all with a variety of white and red wines. Francois was kind enough to help us as we chose each glass to pair with the food. Their wine list was not very extensive, but there were plenty of good choices at more than reasonable prices, both by the glass and by the bottle. If you have one night free in Biarritz, you MUST try this restaurant! You will be so happy you did!"
