"I love this place and have visited many times. Gets extremely busy, so book early to avoid disappointment.Highly recommended. The restaurant is in close proximity to Berny Riviere campsite in Vic-Sur-Aisne. Just a short 20 minute walk or 2 minute drive. Family run business. Didier is lovely and his Mother too, who does all the cooking. If you visit and see how busy it is here, you will understand that she is a wonder woman! I do not know how she does it. Didier is always kept busy, with all the food orders coming in. Good choice of typical French food. (Though suitable for the English palate, if you have not had frogs and snails before!) Children are catered for. Reasonably priced food and drinks. Whatever you order, you will have a good meal. Portion size is good and filling. There is never a better choice for me than the escargots (snails) x12, the poulet creme (creamy chicken and chips) and then (glace) ice-cream for dessert. But whatever French food you enjoy, there is something for everyone. The house wine is always a good choice too! Although the spirits are reasonably priced."

Visited twice whilst staying at a nearby campsite. Food was good and simple honest French cuisine. Service was exemplary and the atmosphere was magnificent. The owner made our visits ones to remember!!!

Been here a few times over the years... bit of a faulty towers feel to it. Can't help you enough and is just lovely. Price is very reasonable. We all loved it every time we visited. We will be back this year as we couldn't visit berny without having tea here.

As a family of five we selected a range of dishes we had not tried before , including the infamous frogs legs.Whilst the menu was simple the food was delicious and the home made sauces sublime! The host was so welcoming an as a result we had a fabulous evening in this quaint restaurant.

What a gem of a place. We absolutely LOVED eating here. The food is amazing, the service was second to none. Wonderful family run restaurant. Easy stroll from the local campsite. The best night of our holiday was spent at chez micheline. I would recommend anybody to try it. Would be best to book to avoid disappointment as he gets very busy.

We always make a point of arranging one evening meal when we arrive as it's booked up otherwise. It's a small village restaurant, run by a lovely family where the elderly mother is the cook and her son, Didier, is the amiable host, for whom nothing is too much trouble. My kids love the steak frites, preceded by snails and frogs legs, but the menu is varied enough to suit all tastes. Prices are extremely reasonable for all food and drink. Well worth a trip.

Great little find. Arrived 50 minutes early and wasn't a problem. We walked from the campsite, along the road. Not much of a footpath but very little traffic. 9 of us in all, 5 kids and adults and everyone was happy. The stuffed mussels to start were excellent. We visited twice so had a large proportion of the simple menu, including the steak, steak with peppercorn sauce, omelette, ham, cheese burger, lamb, pizza and salmon. Table red was very palatable as was the beer. About 15 Euros a head with drinks and desert. Great host with superb service.

Was told of this restaurant , very nice owners , starters delicious , main course my husband and grandaughter had mussels for there mains and said they was excellent , 2had pizza really good , I had steak pepper sauce very tough , one had chicken pepper sauce said it was not very good and I over heard a lady say on next table chicken was not good , they only came with chips would have thought for a orthentic French eatery you would get nice potatoes and veg , unless we should have asked . Desert delicious . 7 starters 6 mains 4 deserts , 4 oranges 4 and half beers. 161 euros .

It's been about 3 years since we have been here but the minute we walked through the door Didier remembered us and the experience was again second to none!!Been amazing changes with the covered terrace area and brand spanking new toilet... Miss having to go upstairs though .Food was again the best we have had in a while.... frogs legs, chicken with cream and steak and pepper sauce all cooked to perfection by mama and yet again told I'm far too young to have the recipe.Ate here 3 nights and can't fault the food/wine and especially the service... as a family we live this place and please don't expect to be fed at 5pm or within 30 mins of sitting down... it's not Britain and they have no obliga...

We have visited several times, it is a very family friendly restaurant with a very pleasant cheeky waiter who is an integral part of the experience. I recommend booking as it gets very busy. It's a 4 min drive from La croix du vieux pont, and there is parking opposite. Otherwise it's about a 15 minute trot. The restaurant is next to a tobacconist and only one of 2 places in the area selling tobacco products. We enjoyed our people, it's not fine dining, but it is fresh honest food, and the snails, frogs legs are affordable to try for an experience. Especially for children , after all why visit if not to try these things. The house wine was nicely drinkable and it was pleasant ambient surround...
