"a lunch between the pen and the turball is required to the p'tite cap for lovers of good flesh. A p'tit apero and it's gone for a dozen snails with delicious garlic butter and a plate of seafood composed of very good oysters, bushes and shrimps served with a good house mayo, followed by two grilled intercoasts with wood fire and accompanied with crispy fries. a small rose from the south west to the pichet and a very good irish coffee for one and one master cup with prunes sprinkled with armagnac for the other. Clearly, an excellent time at this good table friendly in the middle of the marshes."

"Ce n'est pas la première fois que nous déjeunons à l'Escale.......et certainement pas la dernière !!!!!! À chaque fois que nous sommes dans la région..(pour les vacances )....c'est LÀ que nous allons!!!! Sandrine et Eric vous accueillent à bras ouverts....toujours le sourire, beaucoup d'humour....c'est aussi le rendez-vous de l'Amitié....Côté menu.....nous nous régalons à chaque fois avec les moules frites, délicieuses et préparées à la perfection !!!!! UN VRAI BONHEUR !!!!!!!Nous avons hésité avec la choucroute de la mer ( elle est trop appétissante !!!!) mais les moules sont tellement bonnes........peut-être la prochaine fois.....Merci à Sandrine et Eric pour ces retrouvailles et ces bons moments passés avec vous À L'ANNÉE PROCHAINE ❤️❤️❤️"

"We visited the restaurant twice in the one week we spent in the area, and both times we enjoyed wonderful food, and a wonderful atmosphere. We had chosen the restaurant due to the large decking which looked over the wonderful harbour and beautiful sea. The...menu didn't have the largest selection, but had great specials. The waitress was very helpful translating some of the menu items, that we didn't understand. Both times I ate the chefs menu, I had the pate to start, and a Beef stew, the first time, and a steak the second. Both were delicious. One of my dinner party ordered the fish option of the chef menu, they told me it was divine, and another member ordered a salad, which consisted of goats cheese, smoked salmon and shrimp, again another winner. I must say that the prices were very reasonable, especially with such a view. We also ordered a bottle of wine, the waitress advised us on which one would be best for us. It was a very nice and relaxing meal, the only thing is that make sure you take a jacket, as it can become cold when you sit outside due to the wind."
