"Decided to take a small diversion off the A1 to find some lunch and came across this place. Wanted to eat inside but there were no available tables good sign. Ordered some takeaway sandwiches instead a tuna sandwich and the monthly special (warm chicken fajita wrap). Great sandwiches and great value. So much better than any service station offerings. Definitely worth the small diversion off the A1."

"I had an excellent experience at this restaurant! I called at 1:15 PM to confirm they were open and mentioned we would arrive in 15 minutes. I requested them to have coffee ready, and it was waiting for us when we arrived. The service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely amazing. The ambiance made it our favorite spot near Retford. Whether you're looking for silver service or bar meals, the food is top-notch, and the service is fantastic. Overall, I rate the service 5 out of 5 and the location 5 out of 5 as well. One of the highlights is how quiet the hotel is. Highly recommend!"

"We were warmly welcomed into this beautifully decorated old inn and immediately knew we had chosen the right place. The menu and food were exceptional, making our birthday celebration for the three of us extra special. The staff and family owners were attentive and made sure we had a great experience. The venue was cozy and comfortable, with tasteful furnishings and clean facilities. Despite arriving early for our reservation, we were greeted warmly. We traveled far for this dining experience and were happy to have made reservations in advance. We will definitely return and highly recommend this wonderful family-owned restaurant."

"Upon my initial impressions, I was quite disappointed. The entrance was in disarray, the carpets were dirty, and the stairs leading to the rooms were covered with a carpet that had clearly seen better days. However, the room itself was acceptable. It was somewhat outdated and could use a refresh, but it was alright overall. The bedding was clean, and the towels were crisp and white. Additionally, biscuits and drinks were provided, along with a kettle, hairdryer, and TV. The price per person ranged from £20 to £30."

"Absolutely amazing!!! My husband and I just had a fantastic 3 course meal at this restaurant. We started with delicious goats cheese and pumpkin soup, followed by two roasts - loin of pork and roast beef. For dessert, we had panna cotta with poached pears and sticky toffee pudding. The quality of the food at this establishment is outstanding. I highly recommend giving it a try! A big shoutout to the chefs and our waiter, Sam. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
