"This is what I call a Sunday lunch! Chris and Jo’s is a small restaurant providing a memorable menu. We made a reservation (make sure you do because they are reputable) for two. 1 hour 30 mins is ample time to enjoy a starter and main. First time having chowder I loved it. Creamy with seafood chunks and bread to dip into! I had to be careful I didn’t fill my stomach up too quickly because my beef roast arrived soon after. They serve an assortment of vegetables all cooked to adequate tenderness. I’m not a huge fan of Yorkshire puddings in general so I won’t comment on that. The meat was dripping with juice. I just about managed it all. Pleasant, welcoming service and the meal was £20 per person. So good we’re coming back soon!"

Had several meals from here and it is always outstanding. The smoked haddock chowder is delicious. A favourite Bristol restaurant.

I had a nasty pot and it was so good, best I ate. my man and great son had the lamb and minzburger with goat cheese and said they were wonderful. my only regret was that I was so full that I couldn't try any dessert. Maybe next time.

Amazing Sunday dinner, the best I ever had, and believe me that I go to bristol for Sunday dinner and that is flat on another. so beautiful that it made me emotional. a must if they make a fry in bristol as well. 12 different veg bonkers

Ridiculously good food. Very popular, so book a table if you really want a seat! There's always a bit of a wait on food because they cook everything fresh it's well worth it though. I've been eating here for over four years and every meal has been stunning.

we are past a few times, but never before, and now we do not regret so much earlier, despite the pandemic. warm and friendly, and eat as amazingly good I do not know how they do not boast a Michelin star. each curs was perfect, and very favorable for quality and servier size.

OMG I've just eaten the most amazing takeaway from this place. Risotto with chestnut and other goodness. Actually had some bits of chestnut in it, arancini, and squash etc! Tastes incredible. Partner is enjoying his chicken bacon burger too. Cardboard container and wooden cutlery. Can't take a photo coz I've finished it. Highly recommended

It's been a long time since I enjoyed a meal this much in Bristol and believe me I've put the hard yards in trying to find a place like this. Only small with 24 covers but it has a great feel and a great ambience. For once in Bristol the drinks were reasonably priced. Small but great wine list. Masses of drinks for those not on alcohol too. A gin and tonic for £5 is a great price in a pub let alone a restaurant and it's evident that this restaurant is not trying to fleece their customers with overly priced drinks.

my wife and I have enjoyed the wonderful eating of chris and jo during the lock-off, eating it home, but this is a review of the first time we have inaugurated. these young people deserve to be a great success. they bring warmth and love to the customers and inventiveness, great skill, generousness and the same love to the food. everything we ate was great, and the portions! Let's say you don't go hungry to the house! it's really good. to the danger that it will be more difficult to get a table in the future when they read that, please I ask them to review it. that is the perfect little afterbarity drink they were looking for. you will love it!
