"Whilst spending a couple of nights in Portpatrick the wife and I decided to take a wee trip to Drummore. As we approached the village we whizzed past the Clashwhannon, as it comes up on the road quite quickly, and although a large enough building it 's easy to drive past. Once we 'd passed it we saw signs for the 'Ship Inn ', and so both needing the loo at this stage we continued to follow the signs.By the time we 'd driven past the harbour and out towards a picnic spot parking place, we realised that we 'd missed the Ship Inn. Either that or it 'd sailed off somewhere! We U turned and headed back the way we 'd just come and this time didn 't miss the Clashwhannon. It was a beautiful hot day so we chose to sit outside, but entered the restaurant area to order. This is a large and roomy pub restaurant, and the staff were welcoming and friendly.I ordered the liver and bacon casserole with mash, my wife the vegetarian curry. Both meals were delicious and plentiful, served hot and promptly, well cooked and well presented. One alcoholic drink and one large juice, two meals and less than £25. Result.Anytime we 're next in the area, we 'll return."

We eat here regularly when holidaying nearby. A traditional local pub with great hospitality and consistently good food. A varied menu, nothing fancy, just well cooked food, reasonably priced. The seafood enchilada is a firm favourite. Dogs are welcome in the bar but the dining room is more pleasant and spacious. I can highly recommend.

This pub is incredibly welcoming and serves up delicious, well-prepared pub fare. They are very dog-friendly, which was a big plus for us as we visited several times during our stay in Drummore. We had the chance to try various items from the menu, and everything was tasty. I'm a member of CAMRA, so I appreciated the great selection of ales they had available.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for a meal, with a friendly and laid-back atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our experience was enjoyable, although I regret not catching the name of our server. I highly recommend trying anything that comes with the amazing whisky cream sauce - it was so delicious that I almost asked for it to be drizzled over my apple crumble, only half joking! It would be great to see a few more vegetarian options on the menu for those who prefer them. View menu

Feels like a home away from home. The campground is beautiful and well-maintained. Our caravan was clean and spacious, giving off a cozy vibe. The on-site pub serves delicious food, and we haven't had a bad meal in the 5 years we've been coming here. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The views are stunning, with great scenery all around. I can't recommend this place enough! They have a great system in place to deal with the current circumstances. I'm already looking forward to next year!

Had a takeaway meal in May from here. I had curry which was adequate, I got takeaway fish and chips for my parents. Really terrible, batter awful, chips awful. Everything had been made much earlier and thrown back in to reheat it. The dark brown look of the batter was a giveaway. A definite no no with any hot food especially fish and chips. My parents could barely touch theirs. Almost overshadowed an otherwise great week for my mother. Fish and chips seem to be too hard to get right for many hotels so best pick something else if you are eating here would be my advice...

"Myself and my partner where just outside of portpatrick yesterday and wondered about somewhere to have lunch, it was about 12.30pm on a scorching hot Bank holiday Sunday. We hadn’t actually planned to go there to start with but thought why not. I saw on Facebook Connors Restaurant had just uploaded a Facebook post about stopping there for a choice of 2 lovely menus and a cheeky gin, sounded perfect! The post had went up about 15 mins before we arrived, so I assumed they must be looking to take some tables. I walked down and there where 2 tables taken outside, and 1 table inside. I asked if I could get a table for 2 outside if possible and I was told no they had been reserved and I thought okay but before I could even open my mouth again she said all tables inside where also reserved that they where fully booked. There was 1 table inside, other wise it was pretty empty. Ok no problem, we found somewhere else so no big deal, after about 2 hours spent having food and wondering around we went back to the car (parked just up from Connors restaurant) and I noticed again there was only the 1 table outside, and no one at the others. I’m maybe wrong but I felt like this was odd, the inside didn’t look like it was “fully booked” either. It actually looked a little dead compared to everywhere else. This has also happened to my friends a couple of times too they’ve went in and the place has been stone dead but got turned away because of the excuse of being fully booked. Just felt like it was not quite right. Sorry I never usually write reviews but felt like I had to get my point across on this one. We would love to dine here and hopefully will in the future."
