Just visited this pub. Great beer and fantastic choice of food, well cooked. Very friendly, professional service

Had a great meal here. The bar man was friendly and helpful and the food was really good. Everything was very clean and we wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Me and my partner went for breakfast and it was the best I've had in a long time, it was also an added bonus to be told it was buy one get one free on a Thursday. very friendly and polite staff. View menu

Would not recommend coming here unless you want to catch coronavirus. No government code to scan for track and trace app, no sanitising, laminated sheets dirty with food and not been cleaned, staff not wearing masks, tables with more than people on. Avoid at...all costs during a pandemic

First evening of our short holiday in Ashbourne, and first time out for a meal since March for my mum (in her The lovely barmaids/waitresses couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. Food was fresh and tasty and the pub is clean, comfortable and...nicely decorated. I'm sure we'll be back.

First trip to Ashbourne and we were hungry! Walked in from the drizzle to a warm welcome and a spotless clean pub. The three of us all ordered different meals from the varied menu and when they arrived they looked delicious. I visited this pub with a good mate of mine last Friday late afternoon. We ordered real ale, or so we thought. It was awful. It had obviously been in the barrel for far too long as you could taste the vinegar it was turning...into. At those kinds of prices you would expect a clear, clean, wholesome pint. The landlord should be checking the quality of his supposed real ale on a daily basis and pouring away beer that's not fit for consumption. If I venture into this pub again I'll be asking for a free taster to see if it's up to the right quality.

The bar staff are rude and uninterested. Minus one lad, tall and bald (he is always lovely). The manager is rude and honestly just horrible to people who are spending money at her pub. There have been multiple instances where me and my mates have...been shouted at and made comments towards, despite not doing anything wrong! For example, some of my friends were asked for ID, and my younger friend showed her, her real ID, she is She let her in, because she had misread her age. She then kicked off the next day despite it being her mistake!! Absolute mess of a pub.

Came in today with my mother and daughter .First thing we witnessed on entering was the fact two of the bar staff ,one had mask on but with her nose stuck out of it !! Second one didn't even bother to cover her mouth or...her nose !! Looked round after sitting at a table ,to the right of us was seated a table of seven people !! Government guidelines clearly state no more than !! Bar man stood at bar eating his lunch shoving chips in his mouth in between pulling his mask up and down .Then without washing his hands or using sanitizer ,was taking menues and cutlery to customers in between each mouthful .No government track and trace .No code .Just paper to fill in when entering .It clearly stat...
