"We had paid for a group afternoon tea to host my baby shower on the 29/06/24. Seeing as though I’d been here plenty of times before for drinks I assumed this would be the perfect location to host a baby shower. I couldn’t have been more wrong. To start with I had politely asked for a few specific sandwiches to have with our afternoon on the booking form I filled in prior to the event due to having quite a few fussy eaters within our group. Not one of the sandwiches I had asked for was provided. We did mention that most guests wouldn’t eat the salmon sandwiches that were provided and asked that we be given an alternative option. The owner said “we can make some up but you’ll be cutting in to your time and before you know it we’ll be chucking you out”. This wasn’t said in a light hearted manner, she was quite blunt and rude, along with other members of her staff. (Maybe you have to be rude to pass the interview process to work here). Although this was frustrating I was willing to leave it be as we was there to enjoy the planned event. However, it took staff 15-20 minutes after bringing out the sandwiches to start offering tea and coffee, which again wasn’t fantastic as they wasn’t writing down what people were ordering so were forgetting how many orders of each there were and were then being rude to members of my party when they were asking 15 minutes later if they could have their coffee. Next joke.. their afternoon tea advertisements states “a selection of homemade cakes and treats”, couldn’t have been further from the truth. We got served a selection of cakes that are frozen from Iceland, to top it off we asked staff what flavours the cakes were and they couldn’t tell us (we actually had to look up the flavours on the Iceland website). At this point the experience hasn’t been great.. but there’s more.. The owner had brought in her dog and it was tied to a table at the back of the room, right opposite the customer toilet. Now the owner warned us the dog was nervous and not to touch it however guests couldn’t even go to the toilet without the dog growling/showing its teeth and the dog actually lunged at a number of people, a couple being from our party and another male customer outside of our party. (The manager actually shouted at him for using the toilet as he wasn’t buying anything and didn’t even apologise for her dogs actions). Now im a dog person and this wouldn’t usually bother me but on the occasion I went to the toilet the dog was right forward as if guarding the area and showing its teeth at me. I believe that if it wasn’t tied to a table it would have gone to bite me. (This has been reported as clearly this is a dangerous dog and should certainly not be in a public area, especially when nervous and people are in and out all day). As we was packing up to leave my mum asked to speak to the manager in private as she wanted to discuss some of the things that had happened through out. The manager didn’t want to speak in private so the conversation was had in the main seating area. My mum first brought up about the sandwiches. Without even letting her finish the manager went on the defensive, became extremely rude and was shouting at my mum. (How this woman works in hospitality is beyond me let alone manage a place). My mum remained calm throughout and just wanted to explain her points. The lady continued to be rude and even started to mimic what my mum was saying. So if you are planning to have an event here I’d avoid at all costs. I won’t be going back here and neither will members of my party. Such a shame as the venue is in such a lovely location. It’s just a shame about the staff that work here."

Great place to enjoy the harbour and look at the boats. Very nice Mochaccino and toasted sandwich. Only thing I was less keen on was the tables and chairs. not as pictured on tripadvisor stock pictures).

We used to visit this place regularly pre Covid but after our recent visit, sadly we will not be returning due to the following reasons Grubby tables Dirty toilets Disappointing food Very poor cocktails Plus the staff are all very young and although they were all pleasant they seem to have no idea how to make any of the cocktails.

I visited here on the 30th October with two friends after we'd been out on a crime solving game. I was reallt impressed with the offerings on menu. I asked the young lady (brown hair and glasses) if she could explain what a mocktail is, as I am autistic and had never had one before. She kindly explained the process and said if I didn't want soda she would find a non carbonated alternative. I had a non alcoholic strawberry daiquiri, as well as a white hot chocolate. I also had the cheesy chips... A safe option for me. The drinks and food were lovely. All staff were kind, and allowed my friend and I to purchase from the chocolate stall. I would be delighted to return in the future.

We visited the Coco Latino in Ramsgate in the company of some friends on a sunny Sunday morning in May. We were intending to walk first around the area of the harbour before travelling on to Pegwell bay for a further walk. We had driven to Ramsgate and there is a good amount of (pay display) car parking available on the harbour front. The Coco Latino is situated under one of the red brick arches by the harbour and thus the visitor gets a very good view of the moored yachts and other sea craft in the marina when sitting outside. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, the bar was only doing outside seating and there were already some customers sitting at tables outside enjoying the morning sunshine....

I would strongly advise against considering this restaurant for any type of event. I organized a baby shower at this location with afternoon tea for 17 people. We were initially told that the restaurant would be shut down for our group, but two weeks before the event, they informed us that the outside area would remain open for other customers, breaking their promise. The menu stated that for £19 per person, we would receive a selection of homemade sandwiches and cakes, but we were disappointed to find that the sandwiches were not as requested and the cakes were clearly store-bought from a nearby Iceland supermarket. The service was also subpar, with the owner being rude and unprofessional....

We recently booked this venue for my sister's baby shower and it was a disaster. Initially, we were told we would have the place to ourselves, but two weeks before the event, they decided to keep their outdoor area open to the public. During our games and afternoon tea, we had to deal with people coming in and out. When we arrived, there was no welcome from the staff. We ordered drinks at the bar before sitting down and were served sandwiches. Despite our request for no salmon, all the sandwiches had salmon. When we pointed this out, a staff member with attitude took the salmon away and brought plain ham sandwiches, while the manager rudely remarked that it was the chef's choice. The adverti...

"Having been raised at the knees of Caribbean and African women, sometimes I’m just in need of some soul food. I’ve often gone past Mullins and seen that it is busy, and looks bright, clean, warm and friendly. And it is. The decor works really well. Low-key, warm and welcoming. Music is a soothing stream of lilting Caribbean classics. The waiting staff are lovely. So friendly. And the menu looks great. There isn’t too much of it, and it is quite hard to choose because it all sounds amazing. Price points are really good. But. The food is genuinely terrible. I went for a Creole fish stew. I don’t know how you can make a stew without flavour. When you are cooking things slowly and together, flavour infuses flavour. But not here. This was a good sized portion of piping hot well presented food. But my God it tasted awful. Basically chopped potato surrounded by small lumps of bland unidentifiable white fish, half a dozen mussels, some of which were still closed, and therefore inedible, and three flavourless prawns in shells. There was a pinch of Samphire on the top, and this was the sum total of the vegetables I could find. It came in what I can only describe as a thick red sauce. If there was tomato in it, there was no flavour to it. It was highly salty, and this was the dominant flavour throughout. The fish had no flavour of fish, and it was intensely spiced in a lip plumping way. Essentially, it was all heat and salt. With a slight tang of gents toilets. I suspect this was from the mussels. I did raise the blandness twice with the waiter, and the strange unpleasant toilet flavour. He said he would tell chef. And that was that. No feedback on the dreadful flavour other than that it was all fresh. I ate the entirety of the meal because I had travelled a long way and had not eaten. I saw it simply as fuel. It was not enjoyable. I paid and left. Mullins is so close to getting everything right, but a restaurant is its food. I’m not going back."
