"I entered Ramsgate from the west, and as I sauntered along the military road by the harbour, this was the first coffee stop I came to. It's one of a string of small cafes, bars, and businesses occupying what must have once been storage caverns for the maritime and military industries. The walk along there is gorgeous, because you're at the foot of the magnificent historical brick walling and arches that clad the chalk cliffs. Inside, Coco was very theatrical, and darkly atmospheric, and looked like the sort of place that would come to life in the evening. I took my coffee and cake out front and sat next to a vintage contraption with bike seats attached to it and gazed out onto the sunny scene. Heaven. My Americano was small but decent. With that I had a tasty bit of apple-and-cinnamon cake, though it had a couple of chewy, indigestible bits in it which I thought at first were plastic but were maybe baked pips. The cafes got busier as I went on closer to the centre, so this had been a great choice for a peaceful moment in a quirky, unique spot. You won't see military architecture like Ramsgate's military arches anywhere else."

I tried the fruit kebab and a waffle at this restaurant. It was incredibly delicious, but the sweetness was a bit much, so I needed some tea to balance it out.

The cocktail was absolutely terrible, with no alcohol in it at all. The staff were incredibly rude, and I definitely will not be returning. This restaurant needs new owners.

Had hot chocolate and a mini chocolate fondue with waffle and strawberries. Really enjoyed the fondue but definitely needed the fruit to balance out all the yummy chocolate. Devine Sunday treat.

Great vibe and atmosphere. Quick service. Good staff interaction, dog friendly indoors and outside. Beautiful location . Great cocktail menu and 2 for £15 up to 9pm. Perfect place and we'll definitely be going back again. View menu

Will not be visiting this place again, asked for a pint of soda water and lime, It was from the gun and was charged £3.50, which I consider extortionate for a glass of water (which was flat) and a dash of lime. Generally speaking I pay between £1.50 and £2 even in the more expensive places. They have lost a customer now for being so greedy.

A great little find with extremely helpful and welcoming staff. Excellent lunch with cocktails and they were kind enough to fill my water bottle upon leaving. They also sell artisan chocolates and I'd love to come back at Christmas when apparently there is chocolate fountain as well. Had a great atmosphere and Ill certainly visit again when in Ramsgate.

Wonderful atmosphere both indoors and outdoors and the staff were super friendly and helpful as well. When they asked whether I wanted cream and marshmallows on my baileys hot chocolate I certainly was not expecting quite that much of either but hey! Ultimately the drink (although I hesitate to call it a hot chocolate proper) hit just the spot and did not commit the cardinal sin of being overly sweet. View menu

First time customer as a visitor to Ramsgate, although family members have been many times before did not disappoint. Really nice relaxed vibe, with a vibrant, colourful summery outside seating area. Plenty of tables, seats umbrellas in the outside area, along with dogs being welcome and water bowls dotted around. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful, with the menu being well priced spot on for sweet toothed people.

We were shocked and amazed during our visit to this restaurant. Our party of six ordered six coffees (which were very good) and one cup of hot tap water. However, we were surprised to be charged one pound for the hot water, as one of our group has a medical condition requiring her to only drink hot or cold tap water with her medication. Despite our objections, the owner refused to waive the charge. This is the first time we have ever been charged for hot water at a restaurant, and unfortunately, this decision has made us decide never to return. It seems that Coco Latino has lost their moral compass with this unreasonable charge.

"Having been raised at the knees of Caribbean and African women, sometimes I’m just in need of some soul food. I’ve often gone past Mullins and seen that it is busy, and looks bright, clean, warm and friendly. And it is. The decor works really well. Low-key, warm and welcoming. Music is a soothing stream of lilting Caribbean classics. The waiting staff are lovely. So friendly. And the menu looks great. There isn’t too much of it, and it is quite hard to choose because it all sounds amazing. Price points are really good. But. The food is genuinely terrible. I went for a Creole fish stew. I don’t know how you can make a stew without flavour. When you are cooking things slowly and together, flavour infuses flavour. But not here. This was a good sized portion of piping hot well presented food. But my God it tasted awful. Basically chopped potato surrounded by small lumps of bland unidentifiable white fish, half a dozen mussels, some of which were still closed, and therefore inedible, and three flavourless prawns in shells. There was a pinch of Samphire on the top, and this was the sum total of the vegetables I could find. It came in what I can only describe as a thick red sauce. If there was tomato in it, there was no flavour to it. It was highly salty, and this was the dominant flavour throughout. The fish had no flavour of fish, and it was intensely spiced in a lip plumping way. Essentially, it was all heat and salt. With a slight tang of gents toilets. I suspect this was from the mussels. I did raise the blandness twice with the waiter, and the strange unpleasant toilet flavour. He said he would tell chef. And that was that. No feedback on the dreadful flavour other than that it was all fresh. I ate the entirety of the meal because I had travelled a long way and had not eaten. I saw it simply as fuel. It was not enjoyable. I paid and left. Mullins is so close to getting everything right, but a restaurant is its food. I’m not going back."
