"We went for dinner today and it was a disappointing experience. The beef was tough and chewy, and the mashed potatoes tasted like instant mix. I ordered the steak pie, which was dry, the chips were equally dry, and the peas were cold. All four of us left most of our meals. When we told the waiter about it, he just said he would pass the comments on to the chef. Overall, it felt like a waste of £80. After returning to our caravan, my husband became violently ill, and the rest of us felt unwell as well. We will not be returning to this restaurant. It was lovely the last time we visited two years ago."

What can I say? This was our second stay at the Commodore Hotel in Grange, and once again, we were not disappointed. We stayed in the Porthole Room, which offered a fantastic view, along with a comfortable bed and a lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed breakfast at the Winter Reservoir, a delightful three-course dinner, and a few drinks as well. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was simply amazing. I truly feel that they have perfected our experience, and I can't think of any improvements needed. Many thanks! x

We had a disappointing experience from beginning to end. The premises are in dire need of a complete refurbishment, and the staff could benefit from training in basic hospitality skills. The rooms are in poor condition, with broken locks and an overall lack of cleanliness. The staff seemed unsure of their roles, and the breakfast service was a complete mess on both days we were there. As a result, we chose not to dine in for dinner. It’s unfortunate because the place has potential, but it really needs improvement. We left feeling disappointed and frustrated. Rooms: 1, Service: 1, Location: 4.
