"This brasserie was at the end of the road from our hotel (ATN Hotel) in the Rue d’Athenes. The position is great for people staying in the ATN Hotel and other hotels in the area (just in the boundaries of the 9th ARR), as a...first port of call to plan the rest of the day in Paris. That is exactly what we did, first thing in the morning, it opens about 6am for the really early starters. A coffee and brandy, free wi-fi for any research, then head off South down the Rue d’Amsterdam, staying due South will eventually take you to the Place de la Concorde. We had the same waiter each time, who was really friendly and welcoming, and with his little English and my little French we got on like a house on fire! Great coffee, good brandy, set the day up perfectly. Never tried it for lunch and even though it close at 1am, we never got back to the hotel until very late, so never tried the evening menu. The brasserie seems very popular with the local Parisians."

Back again and the service is great, the food is tasty and the drinks are strong! This is probably my favorite spot in Paris.

In all honesty there isn't all that much that I can really say about this cafe, expect that I came here a couple of times back in 2011, namely because we

We left Gare St Lazare and stopped at Comptoir de l’Europe for a drink. We sat on the terrace, waiting 15 minutes for a server. Nobody came, we moved out. Too bad. View menu

This place is transient, but open on Sunday. This isn't my ideal place to come, but it's worth the view and it's right next to the train. Hence not crazy about it, but very acceptable. It's also priced reasonably.

We had had a long day and this restaurant was just around the corner from our hotel so we popped in. We had two large beers and steaks with chips and salad. Food was a reasonable price, tasted great, service was good and restaurant clean....We would go here again! View menu

We popped in just for a sit down to rest our aching bones from all the walking and the freezing cold weather so just had a cup of hot chocolate and an espresso. The service was quick and cheerful waitress. Well worth it and recommended....Would go again and try something more substantial to eat as the menu did look appetising.

This place has the distinction of being the first cafe that I ever visited in Paris, namely because the hotel that we were staying at was just around the corner and it was the easiest place to go and grab a drink. Since I had...booked a hotel near Gare St Lazare this time, and I would walk past here occassionally, I made the effort one evening to come and pay it a visit again. In all honesty it is your basic French cafe that does pretty much anything and everything (though unlike the regional areas they don’t have a newsagency attached to them). The staff were okay, and the prices were reasonable, considering that it is in Paris, however it really isn’t a place that I would go out of my way...
