"Our first visit to this restaurant unfortunately turned out to be our last. The service was incredibly slow, both in the line to order and in waiting 50 minutes for our food. Our order was simple - a breakfast and scampi - but the scampi came without the peas we requested. By the time it was returned to the kitchen to add the peas, it had gone cold. Additionally, we found it odd that we were asked about condiments after the food had been served, leading to the waitress having to retrieve small packets of salt, pepper, and vinegar from the kitchen. This seemed like a waste of paper, time, and energy, when simply having salt and pepper shakers on the table would have sufficed. Despite the friendly service, the lack of staff or experienced employees made for a less than enjoyable dining experience. With many other customers experiencing long wait times, it was difficult to simply leave after paying upfront. Overall, the restaurant seemed well-equipped with tables and customers, but lacked the proper staffing to provide a satisfactory dining experience."

I would give the full English breakfast at this restaurant 5 stars. It was clean and fresh, with no greasy taste at all. It was cooked perfectly and the staff were lovely. I will definitely be returning!

We waited 35 minutes for crumpets 1 understand they put you behind those ordering big meals…. But really!! Should have more staff to cater for small orders. Only good if you want a piece of cake and a drink. Will not be going again. Morrisons is only down the road.

Amazing breakfast with excellent service. We ordered separately, but our meals arrived at the same time. The portions were generous and everything was piping hot and freshly made. The mushrooms were particularly outstanding. The coffee was also delicious. We will definitely return!

Use to love coming here but never again unless for drinks. Waited 45mins for our lunch. Everyone else was complaining also and saw even sandwiches/crumpets were taking just as long too. Either reduce the menu, hire more staff, have waitress service so can stagger tables or reduce number of tables. Please sort it out as it’s such a lovely spot.

Second time we have been here both times sign up saying 30 minutes delay for food. The restaurant was only half full so we ordered but food didn't come for 25 minutes. Wished we hadn't waited as I had fish cakes which were tasty but greasy and the sweet potato fries were cold. My partner had cheese on toast which was also cold. Definitely not worth the money.

I've been twice for the corned beef has over the past month, because it's so delicious. Served with red cabbage and bread. Tables are clean, service very friendly and coffee great. They have free water in jugs which is also a bonus. They cakes are lovely and I like the window seats but the big pot plant is a bit intrusive on one of them, I visited yesterday and it was packed and although the queue was served and went down quickly the food took over half an hour to arrive once seated.

both me my disabled mums went out for a drive on what was a very sunny day 9/7/22, and as we passed the woollen weavers cafe so we decided to give it another go, as it was 5yrs since we last ate there. so we ordered rarebit and fish butty n chips, plus 2 cappacinos. and it was very delicious hot. and what a total transformation in both the cafe and staff food. must compliment the young staff for there kindness and helpful in serving me and my mum, i noticed the staff keeping the food service area clean.

Terrible service and disgusting food. We’ve been here on quite a few occasions and the was good in garden centre. However we visited today to be told the Gordon Rigg breakfast is only available at the Cotton Weavers Cafe. We were told that this because the garden centre cafe is now going to be more of a ‘tea room’ so the breakfast has been removed from the menu in the garden centre cafe. Not sure about the logic of this. Anyway so we left and popped across to the road to the weavers cafe. The service was incredibly slow and the food was disgusting.

Went with my parents today and ordered a small breakfast, a cheese on toast and a buttered toasted tea cake. Placed the order at 12.32pm (checked with the receipt) and finally got it delivered to the table at 1.25pm a total time of 53 minutes. The food is good but the service is shocking will not be going again. Not just us as customers on other tables were asking where their food was. Have used the cafe half a dozen times and has slowly got worse today was the final straw! Come on, sort yourselves out surely there must be something you can do to improve on this atrocious service!
