"We did our usual trick of working our way through a list of dog friendly cafes in the area for breakfast, this time caravanning near Corwen; and of course the best of the bunch was the one on the last day of our stay! Had we found this on day one, or just gone through the list backwards, we would not have needed another cafe to try. I confess to a moment of doubt when we arrived at the Country Cooks' cafe, its spick and span appearance and lay out reminded me of the good old Little Chef's of my youth, convenient but nothing to write home about. Well, I'm not writing home but am writing about the Cafe; a warm friendly welcome and free breakfast, but only for the dog, we had to pay for ours! I had no qualms about paying for it either, a traditional fried breakfast and lots of it, thick cut large rashers of bacon, no corner cutting on the choice of sausage and don't tell the wife, or doctor, but the fried bread was beautiful and unless I was trying to convince myself it wasn't overly greasy, oil laden. A fantastic end to a break away that was troubled by struggling to find a breakfast we'd want to return to that was within striking distance of the caravan parc. We found what we were looking for, but too late to take advantage of it's retainability status."

Great little cafe, efficient staff, tasty food and a really relaxed atmosphere. Pet friendly too! Covid-19 preparations were excellent also, felt really safe throughout our visit.

My family and I visited today on our way home from a trip to Wales and we’re pleasantly surprised. Great food and friendly staff. I would definitely make a point of stopping there again if in the area.

Well presented and clean cafe. We'd previously eaten off the main menu and wereextremely satisfied which was the reason we returned. However, today the breakfast was of poor quality and comparably expensive.

Called in on our way to Anglesey. A lovely dog friendly independent cafe serving wholesome home cooked food. Think Little Chef but better. Family run, nice to see the youngsters involved too. Scrupulously clean and a fascinating collection of cat ornaments. Large car park conveniently...

The cafe is perfectly situated with absolutely stunning views and a much needed stop on our journey but oh dear. The atmosphere was weird when we walked in, no background music or ambiance at all and so many odd cat ornaments EVERYWHERE, there were four other people in there all sat in relative silence eating when we arrived. A young girl came and took our order, no please, no thank you nothing. We only ordered a quick snack of a sausage sandwich and egg on toast with two lattes. The sausage was crispy the eggs were rock hard and crispy bottoms. At nearly £20 you’d expect it to be semi decent. We ate in silence whilst being stared at the whole time by the owner/chef and staff, I never normal...
