"After years avoiding this place, following a bad experience, we gave it another try; brimful of goodwill and abundant positivity. Regrettably this was not repaid. Service was haphazard bordering on just plain rude, and the crepes we ordered were really - really - bad. Barely defrosted seafood and stringy scallops were hidden inside dry, tasteless crepes - whilst another of lardons and reblochon was dry, gritty and tasteless. Desserts were a touch better, but not enough to make up for the overall lack of care and quality and freshness of food. This is a restaurant with obvious tourist-y appeal in location and open dining area - which is a strong proposition of course - but the trade-off is a rushed and inattentive and unappetising experience. We wouldn't risk this place again."

We went late on a Sunday evening as it was the only place open. Food was good, streak was great. Service was excellent. Portions were massive, not refined French food, but not bad.

having had the morning exploring the beautiful island of Sanary, Le Galion was located just right for a drink before heading back to the Clipper. The setting was idyllic with views down to the harbour.

We met up with some friends here last week and had the perfect lunch looking out on to the marina. I ordered the moules mariniere which were superb. My friend had the fish of the day dorade, an entire fish which came with rice and vegetables. The waiters were attentive and the food and experience was very good. Merci Le Galion.

We are English and in our not so good French we ordered water. Rude Rude and Rude was the middle aged female waitress. Service with a frown and complete disrespect for your customers. Who ever owns this establishment needs to retrain that waitress quick. We wanted to order food but we were ignored so we left. We went somewhere else to eat and spent 90€. Your lose. I come to Sanary many times a year and will NEVER come back to this restaurant. The one mark is for the water being wet. View menu

It's always difficult to judge a restaurant in the off-season. On one hand it's not as busy so you expect quick service. On the other hand the kitchen may not be up to par. Our experience today was satisfactory, but not a disaster. We had the tuna steak and curry mussels. The portions were very generous but served like-warm (granted we sat outside and it was a tad cool.) Our various servers were ok, but not terribly attentive. The total bill for the meals and carafe of wine was 47 euros- reasonably good value. Their terrace on the port is very pleasant.

We took friends here as we enjoyed it so much on our last visit (4 years ago.) Mitch66 must have been unlucky......as we had a lovely meal??!The service was good, attentive, and friendly. One of the waiters moved an umbrella, at our request with no fuss, as the sun was in one of our parties eyes! All our crepes were fine - I had an unusual salad that was served in a taco shell, and included chicken, avocado, parmesan, egg to name a few.......see photo...it was delicious! One of us had a very good quality burger (he said). We didn't have room for one of the amazing fruit salads that they sell, so shared a couple boules of sorbet/ice cream as dessert......Tres Bon!
