"This establishment was recommended to us with advice to book. We are glad we did as it was very busy became aware of casual customers being turned away. Staff were friendly interacted with customers. My wife had a steak self the steak ale pie both meals came piping hot. The steak was cooked as requested tender. The pie crust was very light the meat chunky tender. There were a mountain of chips on each of our plates together with peas onion rings. We could not fault the meals unfortunately we did not have room for a sweet but those we saw in the cabinet looked very tempting! Yes, would have no hesitation in returning if staying in the area again."

The fish was fresh. But there’s nothing else to praise from this place. Unpleasant atmosphere, and rude to tourists. They constantly make you feel as if they are doing you a favour.

Excellent! Arrived after a long trip with 3 children under 12 at the same time they were closing the kitchen and after a short consultation the chef served a hot and hearty meal for all. Friendly service and super cosy. Also it is a 5 min walk from Penally Court Farm which is very convenient. View menu

The restaurant was absolutely amazing, offering great food and excellent service. We dined with our two children, who enjoyed spaghetti and curry, while we had the mixed grill and steak, which was the best meal I've had in a long time. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our last night in town was fantastic.

This charming and cozy pub/restaurant has a friendly staff and offers some delicious real ales. There is limited space for dogs in the bar and a lovely beer garden with a beautiful view. Our only disappointment was when we visited on a Monday and found out they don't serve food until 5:30 pm; even though the menu stated lunch was served from 12 to 2:30 pm. We arrived at 1:45 pm, but it didn't ruin our visit and we would still recommend this place.
