"We are staying at a nearby caravan holiday park and visited New Romney for an evening meal. From the outside the building of this business looked very impressive and so with. I prior knowledge of the establishment we decided to try it. I’m the night we visited there was a Ska singer performing which is an unusual accompaniment to a curry, but it really helped make for an enjoyable evening, as me and my wife sang along and remembered songs from our teenage years. He was incredibly talented, and was a very welcome addition. Onto the food ………….. I have eaten curries in every major city in Britain, and I’ve lived within a mile of Brick Lane in the East End of London, so I’d like to think I can appreciate a good one! This is hands down the best curry I have ever eaten. The flavours were phenomenal. This view was echoed by my wife and my elder son ……….. my younger daughter sadly would only go for chicken and chips!!! I had a chicken madras, and I was genuinely upset when I finished it, I was enjoying it that much. The staff were fantastic and were very attentive, and the price was very reasonable. All in all a place well worth a visit. I, for sure will return when I am next in the area. Thank you for a delightful evening with fantastic food."

We have enjoyed many a lovely meal at the Curry Lounge, great dishes which can be tailored to your preference of spiciness, chicken is always top notch. Tables are always very clean and the service is perfect, we always get looked after, so we keep coming back, Simples.

Lovely welcoming staff on arrival, lovely food and good choice on the menu. Lots to choose from. Good wine and drinks list. informal dining areas for a relaxed experience. We are locals who love this place and are returning customers as it a lovely place to go on any night of the week.

I 'm not from this area.. but I do visit quite often.. and when I do I always try to have a meal at this wonderful restaurant... and this is why.. in the mid 1980 's when I was but a lad there was an Indian restaurant "the shagbagh... in braintree Essex.. I visited VERY often.. absolutely loved it.. and the owners Lou and Abdul ... must have gone 4 nights a week.... life moves on and ive lost touch with them.. but would live to know how they are doing by the way.. and ive had kids and in nearing retirement now.. but over the years the Indian takeaways now all seen to taste the same..I think they use mass produced base sauces.. or something... but THE CURRY LOUNGE don 't.. their dishe...
