"Dear all I have looked at your policies and I couldn’t find the information of that group policy online I have no words how to describe how disappointed all of this and frankly not welcoming I was quite ashamed to be honest Last night a group of queer girls in their 40s were trying to get in at 10:45 no queue at this time we all met in Lesbos , the island of Sappho Do lesbians still have a voice in this community? Do older lesbians have an equality right to be in a queer place? We were refused entry because we were Friends and 14 of us We have selected Dalston as the girls wanted to come to DS after dinner I live in Dalston and I supported you from your opening, in your moments of despair pandemic time , I was always there for you But you, let me down yesterday and I felt ashamed that this was the queer London Those 14 girls, 7 live in london, 2 in Paris , the rest in Rome One was driving from Hertfordshire yes , 5 were staying in Depford and because of the overground strike had to take an Uber £40 to come to your place Anyway we got refused entry , the girls couldn’t believe this was the queer London This was under the rain You should make your policy very very very clear if you don’t want groups so people just don’t bother What I know is now the girls think you are against lesbians of a certain age 40s!!!! as it is how it felt I believe the guy at the entrance didn’t like the way we look and that was it agist, sexist it seems in whole it’s grandeur I think this is really sad!!!! And it is certainly not the Dalston superstore I was proud of you really changed and not in a good way I walked back home at 2:30am and there was many young cid straight girls who got accepted but you refused your gays shame on you Best wishes"

They say it's inclusive but if you're gay and don't look queer you're not welcome. Worst experience ever in a gay bar. Go away

We pre booked a table of 10 for a friends birthday, the staff were all friendly, service was quick, pricing is very reasonable. Drag singer was a good entertainer.

One of the worst experiences in London. The door staff were incredibly rude and despite the fact that we were only a group of 5 queer girls they refused us entry because our party was ‘too big’. What are queer clubs for if queer people can’t access them.

Had a great time with a group of friends at drag brunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was full so definitely worth booking in advance. A small but fairly good selection of brunch including a vegetarian and vegan option, and the entertainment was great fun. View menu

The bouncers at this venue judge you by how you look and sound. If you ‘don’t look gay enough’ you don’t get let in. Also if you aren’t a quiet and docile female then you get told you’re ‘too much’ and get refused entry. Absolute disgrace, homophobia, sexism at its rife within the lgbt+ community AVOID

Bar staff very rude with very little customer service skills. Management is a complete joke. Sometimes an LGBTQ+ space, sometimes it’s straight central. Often uncomfortable to be in due to the inability of venue polices and procedures taken by door staff and management. Did I mention most of the on duty managers are complete jokes? Just avoid this place, go spend your money we’re they don’t water your drinks down and charge you a mortgage repayment in order to enjoy said watered down drink. Oh and the door staff? Good god.

The crowd that comes here tends to be faux-alternative. It's completely white, full of entitled Karen like straight cis white women, it's an unsafe environment for queer poc’s. Majority of the gay white men that visit this place are Racist and have no problem in openly expressing their hate of pocs. It was my worst of experience of clubbing The crowd that comes here is the least diverse of any queer venue in London. Staff and bouncers have no problem with racist language and comments against pocs even when reported. Avoid at all costs. View menu

My friends (mixed group of 6, 3 LGBTQ+ in the group) were denied entry last night for absolutely no reason. We joined the back of the queue and a lady on the door (not a bouncer, some kind of vibe checker) came to us told us we were ‘too drunk’ and they don’t want ‘people like that’ in the club. My friends and I weren’t too drunk and we all found this incredibly rude and dismissive as other people around us were being let into the club. We don’t know where she got the impression that we were too drunk. Fortunately we were able to go to another venue nearby who were happy to take us, because we were fine! Please think about how you treat people as it’s comes off extremely discriminatory and r...

I came here on a Thursday evening expecting to have a couple of drinks in a welcoming friendly bar but instead I was quizzed by the guy on the door who asked: 1 Did I know what event was on tonight; 2 Did I know much about the event that was on; 3 Had I been here before; 4 When had I been here before Having not expected to sit an exam at the door ! , I said I didn’t know to 1 and 2 but that I had been here before a few years ago. He then told me it was only open to ‘friends and family’ whatever on earth that means and suggested I go to another bar instead. I told him that I didn’t see anything on their website about this apparent ‘friends and family’ restriction and suggested that he wasn’t...
