"Enjoyed a nice dinner here on our first night in Bavaria this trip. The owner convinced me to try the house speciality, Spaghetti Parmigiano, made using a large wheel of hard parmesan cheese ("Grana Padano") where the cheese is scraped from the inside of the wheel and mixed with freshly cooked pasta, then topped with creamy mushroom sauce.Delicious !My daughter wanted something with meat, so she had the Spaghetti Bolognese and it was also very tasty.The starter of bruschetta with parma ham was also wonderful, my daughter remarked that it was the best parma she had ever tasted.Dinner for 2, with 1 starter + 2 pasta + 2 glasses of Sangiovese wine was around 50 Euros. We were too full to try the dessert."

"My husband and I ordered ice tea for the drinks, and it's amazingly refreshing. It doesn't look like ice tea though, does it? We then had shrimps shumay and noodles (I requested to put extra spicy for my noodles lol). The foods are tasty! I wish my stomach is bigger than my eyes so I could order some more. The highlight of the menu is the mochi ice cream! Coconut mochi ice cream is my favorite We are satisfied with everything; services and foods. The lady is very sweet and helpful."

"After I passed a few times, I thought it was time to give this local chance. ...... small but fine, very nice cook and a well-known house shortened the waiting period of my order. when my pizza funghi came, I was very fond of the smell. Unfortunately, I can't put the taste in a cake! 1a eat, nab the many 0815 supplies. I can recommend la capanna only as a secret tip"

"We have often passed the restaurant that is quite inconspicuous from the outside, but we recently decided to try it. we were not disappointed. in the opposite part, from the inside a small paradies, you feel right in the cosy dining room. the service was very friendly and attentive. we chose a menu with four meats for 2 people with sharp-sauer supper before and after table (optionally baked banana or Vietnamese coffee). at the main dish there were red Thai curry, chicken sweet-sour, fried bark and duck. Interestingly I also found the sáte spears, which were ordered at the neighbor table and which can be roasted directly at the table itself (tip for families). a reservation cannot hurt, as the restaurant is quite well visited depending on the weekday."

"the pizzeria has an ambiente as in an autowerkstatt. Despite few guests it took quite long to get our order. the teig of the pizza has unfortunately not tasted me, moreover it was very hard and carburized at the edge. "Wir waren nun mehrfach im Hiro Sakao. Das Sushi ist immer frisch, der Service schwankt, je nach Tageszeit und Wochentag.Grundsätzlich ist es sinnvoll vorzureservieren - die Halle (ja, Halle) ist eng bestückt und es können eine Menge Menschen hier Platz finden. Dies bedeutet auch, dass es sehr laut ist, allein das ist wirklich sehr störend. Von einem ruhigen Essen mit Freunden und angenehmer Konversation keine Rede.Mit Kindern eine Qual, da die Tische sehr eng beieinander stehen, damit der Platz auch super genutzt ist, ist dem Bewegungsdrang in keinster Weise Freiheit gegeben. Man "belästigt" sehr leicht den Nachbartisch. Unser Sohn rennt nicht in Restaurants rum, aber er steht schon mal auf und geht am Tisch entlang oder will sehen, wie das Sushi zubereitet wird. Hier sehr schwierig zu bewerkstelligen.Fazit: Essen sehr gut, Service gut, Ambiente: der Horror"

"Pizza, Pizza, This place has by far the best pizza in Erlangen. I really can't tell you much about the other food there because I'm hooked on the pizza and that's what I always get, #17 with the hot salami and extra onions and the...Zindorfer Keller beer. Damn my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The pizza sauce is to die for. My girlfriend says the half chickens are good and the salad has the best homemade Italian dressing. "Wir sind gestern extra von Bamberg nach Erlangen zum Sushi essen gefahren. Da beim Running Sushi nicht viel los war, wurden erstmal nicht viele Boote befüllt, was ja an sich kein Problem ist. Als die befüllten Boote jedoch leer waren wurde auch nichts mehr aufgefüllt, obwohl wir trotzdem zu dritt an der Theke saßen und eigentlich auch Hunger hatten. Die Männer die das Sushi zubereiten standen eigentlich auch direkt vor uns und konnten die ganze Zeit sehen das wir nichts essen. Etwas später erklärte uns die Bedienung, dass wir gerne noch Wünsche äußern könnten und uns das Sushi zubereitet werden würde. Allerdings wurde dies erst am Ende gesagt, was meiner Meinung nach leider etwas zu spät kommuniziert wurde. Wenn ich keine Boote befülle, darf ich das Running Sushi halt unter der Woche nicht anbieten. An sich eine tolle Idee, leider sehr schade. Wie ich hier auf Google lesen kann haben diese Erfahrung aber auch schon andere gemacht."

"Wir waren zu einem Abendessen zu zweit vor Ort. Die Räumlichkeiten stellen sich als sehr beengt und klein da wie in dieser Stadt in den meisten Restaurants so üblich. Das Essen war geschmacklich gut jedoch hat es mich nicht vollständig überzeugen können insbesondere das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis wurde dem Restaurant nicht wirklich gerecht. Auf Anraten eines Freundes habe ich dieses Restaurant ausgesucht in der Hoffnung eine etwas außergewöhnliche italienische Küche kennenlernen zu dürfen leider wurden meine Erwartungen diesbezüglich nicht erfüllt. Weiterhin mussten wir leider sehr lange auf unser Essen warten die Hygiene z.b. Besteck und Tisch waren ausreichend als gut. Dennoch kann ich dieses Restaurant weiterempfehlen man sollte sich jedoch nicht allzu große Erwartungen machen. Für ein romantisches Dinner zu zweit ist dieses Restaurant eher nicht geeignet."

"Location, location, location is a double-edged blade for this restaurant. It's pretty much in the middle of a small housing region with practically no competition around, but at the same time it's not that close to the main routes. Arriving to the place, it looks quite cheap outside. E.g., in the summer there were really ugly plastic table covers. The interior luckily is quite much better looking and there are several rooms of different sizes available. The food is local (Franconian and Bavarian) combined with some Greek and Italian courses. Compared to many nearby restaurants, the variety is much higher and the prices are usually quite reasonable. Normally the food is good, but occasionally you might be hit with bad choise. Service is fast and friendly, and as a small detail they offer a small ouzo after the payment so that you'll leave with a nice taste in your mouth."

"Being in Erlangen for a business trip, and feeling so cold, I just wanted a risotto. As they had it in the daily menu, I entered and ordered it. It was a Risotto con Capesante e Gamberetti (Risotti with shrimps and scallops). With the risotto I also ordered a glass of white wine and duck breast.The risotto has been put on my table after 5 minutes, so I guessed it was pre-cooked, as 20 minutes at least are needed to have a good risotto. The impression of the plate was not really good, as it looked overcooked and with some broth around. But I decided to have a bite.The taste of the bite was horrible: I can tasat basil, vegetables and cheese (a lot of cheese), but not the taste of the fish. I decided to do not continue my experience.I explained to the waiter my intention to leave the restaurant paying the wine and the rice. They let me pay the wine only, which was really nice from them. But I'll never come back.That's not italian kitchen at all"

"We just ordered a main dish and were delighted with a lot of complimentary things on the house. They started by giving us a shot of Ouzo before the meal, followed by beautiful warm bread with bio Greek olive oil. Next was a fairly sized salad and then we got our meal which was delicious! At the end we were surprised by a nice dessert, also on the house! Very Greek atmosphere and decent prices, I will be taking many people here."

"the waitress dropped the food of my sister, the half of it landed on the table and the other half on the floor. she also knocked over her drink, and she brought a new drink, but put it in the same glass that was very sticky now. instead of cleaning our table, she just left and we haven't seen her anymore. After 20 minutes that we didn't have to see a waiter, we had to look for someone to ask if someone could clean it up and if a new teller comes. Finally we had to get serviettes to clean the table itself. other guests felt sad for us and helped us to clean our table. we had to ask three times before they said that you were eating. it took another 30 minutes before they brought it. I had finished my pasta for a long time. my pasta was good, but the Calamari salad of my sister was in salty dressur and the calamari was so gumy that it was impossible to chew. the staff really doesn't seem to give, a s*t and was very rude. we have not received any excuses at all. so many other people also did not get their food at the same time or at all. at least the terrible service has created a feeling of connection and brotherhood between all guests."

Few dishes prices were not matched with their prices such as a start called camabert... bit small and unexpected expensive Staff is friendly and helpful. "As an Indian customer : + the location is great. 10 min walk from hbf+ ambience is nice+ Many say that this is the best Indian restaurant in Erlangen+ the presentation of the food was good- the food was not spicy enough even though we told to make it spicy ! I normally donot like very spicy food but even then this was not spicy for me at all ! - Felt that we were discriminated. We were the only Indians there when we reached and well we were made to stand as even the others who came after us were asked to be seated. Honestly I did not mind because I was also very eager that the locals has a more pleasant Indian experience than me and well i was not much dressed for the occasion. But perhaps you need to consider everyone equally.- the service. It took more than an hour to serve us.but I guess this was the same with every one of the guests too- the food was Ok. The starters felt better than other indian restaurants but I felt the food in Delhi restaurant was better than here. I'm a south Indian and I also love north Indian food. I had some great north Indian meals in India and I know it is not right to compare with real Indian food but I would say I would give 5/10 for the taste of food here compared to some of the best north indian dishes i have had. Average to just above average. Lack of spices was the main missing factor."

"I visited with a work colleague in the evening. First impressions of the small restaurant we good and we were made very welcome. There were plenty of other diners. The menu made good reading with similar dishes to other Indian restaurants. Unfortunatley that is where the similarity stopped. The pompadoms seemed as if they were straight out of a supermarket shelf.We ordered a mixed starer for 2 and received a plate full of vegatbles tempura that was terrible. We left most of that. The main course curries were similarly disappointing, sharp in taste as well as hot of course. not an ingredient in sight in the sauce (cardomum pod, onion etc) just a sauce. This place has received some good reviews so maybe we caught it on an off night, anyway I shall give it a mis next time"
