"I visited with a work colleague in the evening. First impressions of the small restaurant we good and we were made very welcome. There were plenty of other diners. The menu made good reading with similar dishes to other Indian restaurants. Unfortunatley that is where...the similarity stopped. The pompadoms seemed as if they were straight out of a supermarket shelf. We ordered a mixed starer for 2 and received a plate full of vegatbles tempura that was terrible. We left most of that. The main course curries were similarly disappointing, sharp in taste as well as hot of course. not an ingredient in sight in the sauce (cardomum pod, onion etc) just a sauce. This place has received some good reviews so maybe we caught it on an off night, anyway I shall give it a mis next time"

very good food, even you were slow, but wait was worth it, the taste is so good that you feel like you can cook your dish. prices are ok for an Indian restaurant in the environment, slightly higher. View menu

The place is small and feels private. The air's a bit stuffy, but it's all worth it! The ambiance is great, the service just lovely and the food incomparably great (and I know good food)! I'll definitely come again!

few events offer a curry as dry. in an attempt to avoid the capsicum and tweebel ballast, lamb and kartoffels were explained. the dry karahi was still the target. lamb and kartoffel karahi, very sharp....it was. with minimal non-soup masala this was more than acceptable.

This place is small and they do not take credit or debit cards. Nonetheless, it is worth a visit. I was there on Monday and soon after I arrived, all the tables were taken and they had to turn away a couple of guests. Their...Chicken Tikka Masala was perfectly seasoned and very flavorful. The Naan bread was similarly perfectly baked. View menu

second visit, and we were not disappointed, the taste and the temperature were perfect. the proportion is large enough for 2. I ordered the huhn vindaloo and was delicious. this time, eating was a little less spicy that the woman who took the order gave us 6 or 7 different types of seasoned to choose, and she offered us additional rice when the first 2 pots were finished. we were a party of 6 and didn't have to wait long until the food was ready. we were very happy to try.

I have traveled the globe and have tried Indian food in NYC, London, and many more. This restaurant is not only the best Indian in Erlangen but has so far been my favorite Indian in the world. I know this will change when I visit...India, but Bombay Haus is close enough. It is very small and family owned, I had the same waitress every time I visited which was usually twice a month if not more. There is also a really lovely outside part in the back that you can sit in when the weather is nicer. It is rarely full, which I liked because if it is full they will not seat you or you won't get your food as quickly. I highly recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala or Gulab Jamun When I visit Erlangen aga...
