"As an Indian customer : + the location is great. 10 min walk from hbf+ ambience is nice+ Many say that this is the best Indian restaurant in Erlangen+ the presentation of the food was good- the food was not spicy enough even though we told to make it spicy ! I normally donot like very spicy food but even then this was not spicy for me at all ! - Felt that we were discriminated. We were the only Indians there when we reached and well we were made to stand as even the others who came after us were asked to be seated. Honestly I did not mind because I was also very eager that the locals has a more pleasant Indian experience than me and well i was not much dressed for the occasion. But perhaps you need to consider everyone equally.- the service. It took more than an hour to serve us.but I guess this was the same with every one of the guests too- the food was Ok. The starters felt better than other indian restaurants but I felt the food in Delhi restaurant was better than here. I'm a south Indian and I also love north Indian food. I had some great north Indian meals in India and I know it is not right to compare with real Indian food but I would say I would give 5/10 for the taste of food here compared to some of the best north indian dishes i have had. Average to just above average. Lack of spices was the main missing factor."

The owner of Sangam and Chai Roti is same. But the menu is slightly upgraded compared to Chai roti. But the prices are very similar to what you might have paid at Chai Roti.

The service we received from Topcat was out of this world I’ve never had such a friendly server he definitely created such a great atmosphere for us to enjoy the night in we will 100% be returning due to this only if we can request him as out server he’s a credit to your team

I was in Erlangen for business trip and my collegue recommend this indian restaurant. It has nice and comfortable atmosphere. Taste of food was great that i never had before. Service was friendly, neat and clean. food waiting time was reasonable. if you like to taste best north indian food then I will recommend "Sangam".

Excellent quality made in a authentic traditional way , prices are good for the size of portions and high quality ingredients used. Welcoming hosts and service is exceptional.I've tried all the Indian restaurants in the area and this restaurant is by far the best in every aspect. The other Indian restaurants in the area are highly overrated .

Nice and comfortable atmosphere inside the restaurant and they have Biergarten too. Food was excellent in taste. Price of food is affordable. Service was very good. Food waiting time was reasonable. They served us complementary snacks in beginning and shots/tee in the end.If you are looking for nice, comfortable and family friendly place and of course genuine Indian food then I strongly recommend "Sangam Restaurant".

This is a good Indian restaurant with a selection of dishes catering for all tastes. The location is good as within quick walking distance to shops and other bars and restaurants. As a business traveller it was useful that the menu has English translations making it easy to pick a traditional favourite or to assist in trying something new. The welcome was warm and inviting and the service was good. The food was good, each dish was very tasty and reasonably priced. The whole group enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and good food so I would recommend!
