"Wir haben aus Neugierde das Restaurant Boliwood am 30.07.2017 zu zweit ausprobiert und waren begeistert. Wir haben uns trotz des schönen Wetters innen einen Platz ausgesucht. Das Ambiente wirkt authentisch, sehr gut ausgewählt und wurde durch sanfte indische Musik untermalt. Bei der Auswahl der Speisen war uns der Kellner (vermutlich der Besitzer) behilflich und fragte uns welchen Schärfegrad wir mögen und was wir uns vorstellen. (Fleisch, Fisch, ect) Er hatte uns dann auch gleich etwas empfehlen können. Wir hatten uns als Vorspeise für eine gemischte Platte (vegetarisch) zu 13,90 € und die Pappadams zu 3,- € entschieden. Das Gemüse war frittiert ( wohl mit einer speziellen Panade, vermutlich Mais??) und schmeckte sehr lecker und frisch. Das Pappadams wurde mit 3 Soßen serviert und schmeckte leicht süßlich und war ausgezeichnet. Die Hauptspeisen Chicken Tikka zu 16,90 € und Chicken Vindaloo, Schärfegrad medium zu 13,90 € schmeckten herrvorragend. Obwohl der Schärfegrad erklärt und abgefragt wurde war das Vindaloo uns zu scharf. Das war jedoch unsere Schuld da wir die Schärfe unterschätzt hatten. Die Überraschung war, das uns angeboten wurde ein neues milderes Gericht aufs Haus zu bringen. Das haben wir dankend abgelehnt. Wir haben dafür aufs Haus einen Likör und ein kleines super köstliches Dessert erhalten. ( Milchgrießbällchen mit Vanilleeis und Sahne) Bei den Speisen wurde auf authentische, hochwertige und frische Zutaten geachtet. Insgesamt haben wir beide für 58,- Euro einen richtig schönen Abend mit Top Essen in angenehmer Athmosphäre erlebt und kommen sehr gerne wieder"

"I visited with a work colleague in the evening. First impressions of the small restaurant we good and we were made very welcome. There were plenty of other diners. The menu made good reading with similar dishes to other Indian restaurants. Unfortunatley that is where...the similarity stopped. The pompadoms seemed as if they were straight out of a supermarket shelf. We ordered a mixed starer for 2 and received a plate full of vegatbles tempura that was terrible. We left most of that. The main course curries were similarly disappointing, sharp in taste as well as hot of course. not an ingredient in sight in the sauce (cardomum pod, onion etc) just a sauce. This place has received some good reviews so maybe we caught it on an off night, anyway I shall give it a mis next time"

"Did not actually try the food but the owner attitude towards his customers is very strange and impolite , he almost asked us to leave his restaurant because we needed some time to order ! So we actually immediately left... We were very unpleased ... Never seen such treatment and lack of respect."

"Döner war lecker aber für 5 Euro zu wenig Fleisch. Vorher war auch mehr drauf wie er günstiger war. Alle kämpfen ums Überleben, Kunden aber auch. Und bei drei Döner auch mit den Servietten gespart!! In meiner Tüte waren nur zwei Servietten und zwei feuchte Tücher. Schade."

"Service was prompt and setting is great but unfortunately that’s where it ended for my experience. I will admit my idea of a pork knuckle and crackling is possibly not Franconian. I heard great reviews and eagerly anticipated my meal here but unfortunately my expectations...were far from met. My expectations were lovely soft pork with great crackling and this was far from my expectations. Do yourself a favour and order something else I was very disappointed"

"Today we've had a wonderful dinner in this typical german restaurant. We have got there through Trip and we have been welcomed by spontanous but very polite waiters. The menu had a wide list of dishes. We've been requested our favourite cooking point of the meat; which is not that common... Something unusual is also that beefs are cooked directly in the eating room, which let you watch exactly what are you about to eat : All Our requirement have been fully satisfied and some small changes that we have requested have been accepted. During the dinner waiters have asked us if everything tasted fine. Beer tasted good too and it was served cool in nice typical glasses. On every table there was a fresh flower and a lighted candle. The atmosphere was quite and even if there were pretty a lot of people there was no noise. The prices correspond the high quality of dishes! We fully recommend this restaurant to all who want to have a quite dinner for two or small groups."

"Ziemlicher Durchschnittskebab zu hohen Preisen Fleisch ist ein Schichtspieß der recht saftig ist, jedoch sind Soßen und Brot sehr fad und billig (Dürüm Brot Industrie). Die Gemüse Beilagen sind sehr einfach und kaum Auswahl. Preise sind sehr saftig selbst für das Zentrum. Döner 6,5€ Dürüm 7,5€ Dönerteller 12€ (Rekordverdächtig in der Region) Beim vorbei laufen für den Hunger in Ordnung, für mehr leider nicht."

"Had to check out this restaurant while visiting Erlangen for a day. Love to support places that source their produce locally. With a daily changing menu, they certainly offer freshness at its best. However, we didn't fancy anything they had on their daily menu and...went for their classic dishes. My wife had a lovely mixed salad plater with an incredible potato only half of it though and a bread dumpling. It was beautifully served and as good as a mixed salad gets. All components were presented on their own, which deserves extra points. I had a somewhat strangesounding nights pasta. It consists of a different pasta with lovely Arabian herbs spices and caramelised choppedup dates. The flavours were really incredible in this dish. Their fresh juices were also excellent. However, the points where they could do better is by doing the food justice in the menu. The description of each meal is quite bland and often oversimplified. Eating starts with reading the menu...and if it doesn't speak to the mind, then you're missing out on an opportunity. The interior design is also slightly offputting. The vibe felt more like that of an oldage home the urineyellow lights did not help!. The freshness and vibrance of the food does not match the design, which I thought was peculiar. Nonetheless, with a very friendly staff and a cute outside area displaying several herb plants, this establishment is a winner and worth your money time"

"An sich eine tolle Bar allerdings werden die Zustände vor der Bar immer unerträglicher. Die Besucher stellen überall ihre Fahrräder ab, im Sommer teilweise auf den Gehweg und auf komplette Parkplätze obwohl es viele offizielle Fahrradparkplätze gibt. Manche der Gäste trinken dann auch noch Alkohol und beschädigen mit den Fahrrädern umstehende Fahrzeuge und verschwinden einfach. Es ist eine Plage. Danke für Ihre Antwort. Sie sagen dass Sie es schade finden dass ich Sie als Bar/ Café dafür verantwortlich mache. Ich nenne Ihnen ein Beispiel: wenn Leute Nachts vor dem Café stehen und viel zu laut sind wer hat dann die Pflicht diese drauf hinzuweisen dass das nicht ok ist? Klar können sie nichts dafür dass die Leute keinen Anstand haben und oder betrunken sind aber sie wären für dieses Problem verantwortlich weil die Leute nun mal ihr Café besuchen. Es wäre schön wenn sie die Leute sensibilisieren würden."

"Wir sind regelmäßig in kleiner Gruppe zum Mittagessen dort. Service direkt, aber sehr nett. Vor allem Pizzen, Rigatoni und die Sondergerichte, die nicht auf der Karte stehen (vor allem selbst gemachte Nudeln) sind sehr gut bis hervorragend. Rigatoni werde ich nur noch hier essen, woanders schmecken sie mir nicht mehr, seit ich den Goldenen Schwan kenne. Etwas wenig Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vorm Haus, wenn mittags die Gaststätte voll ist."

"it didn't look promising. but when we came in, there was a candle on the table and a cordial greeting from the hostess. she started with a free tidbit. then we had a wonderful, fresh salad, with huh up. I have ordered lasagne, a collegine spaghetti bolognaise and the other seafood pasta. everything was fresh, including the grated parmesan and freshly baked bread. the lasagne was excellent. we had foam water. total: 34 euro. excellent."

"This place was recommended to me because of the huge schnitzels and as some friend were visiting and one wanted a schnitzel, the choice was clear. It was Sunday, lunch time, so the place was pretty packed and the waiters were busy. The lunch menu...wasn't that long and it turned out that several alternatives were already out. No, problem, I wanted a schnitzel. When ordering, the waiter asked if I want a half or a whole portion, and looked a bit strange when I answered to be wanting a whole one. The food arrived very quickly, they probably had everything prepared pretty much ready. My portion consisted of not one, but two schnitzels, both almost of the size of the plate, and a small pile of fries. From that, I managed only the half, and the rest had to be taken with us. But it looked that in every table people were packing large amounts of leftovers with. So, at least plenty. Too bad the taste wasn't that great: the main impression was fat, in which the food was cooked in.But overall, you get plenty in return for your money"

"Wenn man in Deutschland in einen "Irish Pub" geht, dann findet man oft genau das gleiche wie überall selbst. Es ist ein wenig wie mit den chinesischen Restaurants in den 80er Jahren, als alle die gleiche Einrichtung hatten (und auch genau das gleiche Essen auf der gleichen, verklebten Karte). So sieht man in Deutschland immer die gleichen "echt in Irland abgebauten und hier wieder aufgebauten Pubs". Was auch heissen müsste, das in Irland jetzt keine Pubs mehr offen sind, die sind ja alle in Deutschland wieder aufgebaut worden...Jedenfalls ist das hier ein wenig anders. Mit Betonung auf "ein wenig", denn ganz den irischen Charme wollte das Murphy's Law wohl doch nicht aufgeben. Das ist auch gut so. Der Service ist recht aufmerksam und freundlich, das Essen ist gut und lecker, das Bier in der richtigen Temperatur. Sobald ich einige andere Restaurants in Erlangen getestet habe komme ich sicher wieder!"

"Gestern war ich in Erlangen und wollte noch schnell ein Mittagessen einnehmen. Ich kehrte im Kim Sa ein und war beim Verlassen hoch erfreut. Hier schmeckt das Essen wie in einer asiatischen Garküche. Das ist von klassischer Kochraffinesse weit entfernt, aber für körperliches Wohlbefinden unschlagbar.
