I have eaten steak in every corner of the world over the years. This restaurant has excelled in quality of meat, cooked perfection of a wood fire.

Very good Steak made on open wood fired BBQ! Very friendly staff! As well the starters are good and the menu varies with the specialities of the seasons. Always good to come here again.

This is one of my favorite restaurants to visit, while in Erlangen. I have been here several times and it never disappoints. The portions are large. If you want a great steak, this is the place to visit. They have a kinder menu for children. Everything is good.

I visited Rauchfang alone while travelling on business and had a good meal. It's a nice cosy place with good and attentive staff. I had a Ribeye steak which was tasty but a bit chewy and the sides of Fries and mixed vegetables were tasty but huge in size. I had a glass of Malbec which was excellent.

Arranged a table at the backward dining area...nice woodfire oven in the open kitchen but bit dim Maintained the quality of food and services as the previous experience...time of food preparation and delivery very efficient but our plates needed to be waited bit longer for being clear and collected while the restaurant was getting full... Staff treated every guest feeling like home...very helpful and friendly

I’ve been once with colleagues during a business trip and now I’ve return alone! I never go out for dinner alone but not choose a better place for a healthy dinner with good protein and other options than carbs. A steak of 200g and spinach leaves was the best choice that I could do. Tables surrounding had different choices with rice and fries or baked potatoes... all of them looked very nice! I would really recommend if you are looking for a charming place, quiet, with good and healthy meals! It deserves every € that I’ve spent!

The restaurant is separated into two dining room, the interior design and decoration are really fancy and classy. It's located near down town, it takes 15 mins walk from railway station The dishes ordered were above average, tasty and rich in flavor... should try its starters and side dishes though the prices are generally bit up market Having considered it's a steak house, the steaks ordered were bit below average..bit tough even though not over cooked The service was wonderful and staff is friendly and came to check if everything was alright often which made us comfortable Should go again

The traditional restaurant Rauchfang is an ideal place to enjoy very good meat cuts in rustic atmosphere. The service is very obliging and attentive. Particularly recommendable are the different beef cuts which are prepared on an open, wood fired grill in front of the guest. I had a 300 g “Rumpsteak Argentina” with crispy roasted potatoes, green beans with bacon, herb butter and chimichurri sauce. The meat was rare grilled as desired and tender. The dish was paired by cold Franconian style bottom-fermented Zirndorfer draught Kellerbier (means beer nether clarified nor pasteurized). The quality of the served steaks is very good and worth to visit this restaurant again.

Today we've had a wonderful dinner in this typical german restaurant. We have got there through Trip and we have been welcomed by spontanous but very polite waiters. The menu had a wide list of dishes. We've been requested our favourite cooking point of the meat; which is not that common... Something unusual is also that beefs are cooked directly in the eating room, which let you watch exactly what are you about to eat : All Our requirement have been fully satisfied and some small changes that we have requested have been accepted.
