Great food and setting. Lady assisting the Maître (who was extremely busy with a table besides ours) was very competent and agile.

We had a wonderful dinner here with our daughter, food was excellent, service was even better. We ordered parmigiana, the eggplant was perfectly cooked and the whole dish was a dream, Strongly recommand also cotoletta and risotto. Definitely will go back! View menu

refined, elegant and reserved environment. the service is great with attention to the magnificent and never invasive customer. the food then.... exceptional. both for traditional Milanese cuisine and other dishes. great balance also in the most elaborate dishes, both meat and fish. highly recommended.

We had a wonderful dinner at Don Carlos. It was a rather unplanned evening but the warm and welcoming staff made the dinner a wonderful one. The venue appears to have been the ?drawing room in its previous role in the building and that added to the comfortable atmosphere. the steak was a bit overdone but the ravioli in a clear broth was magical. Mad ethe whole night complete. View menu

Don carlos is an experience to live! The environment is really suggestive, you have the feeling of going back in time: music of green as background and historical decor of the room. we got the classic traditional dishes: risotto with saffron with ossobuco and cotoletta to Milanese, accompanied by an excellent primitive. for sweet strawberry sorbet and tiramisu with coffee ice cream. all excellent quality! the staff is kind, professional and attentive to every need. Lively recommended!

I am stunned and bewildered that this is a 1 star Michelin restaurant. The beef tartare, while generous in proportion, possesses zero flavour. The 30 euro foie gras terrine was a tiny sliver of mediocrity on a plate. The Milanese risotto came to table with a thick skin suggested it has been under warming lights for some time. The staff, while polite, lacked the polish and experience one expects at this level of establishment. The waiter removed a 20 Euro glass of Chardonnay from the table with a quarter of the glass yet to be drank.

"Visited months ago The label of a vegetarian restaurant absolutely does not correspond to what Joia represents in the Italian gastronomic panorama. We are talking about the maximum expression of haute cuisine, overwhelming ideas, bold and unexpected combinations, exceptional raw materials, all served in an exclusive environment suitable for providing customers with a fantastic experience. Chef Leemann showed up in person to take the order and give his suggestions on the sequence of dishes. The service staff has always proven to be very prepared to answer all our questions or curiosities about the dish itself and this knowledge was not only the heritage of the waiter who brought the dish to our table and described it to us, but of all the staff who, even randomly, we stopped to ask for further explanation! The wine list was excellent from which we chose a Barbera d 'Alba by Bartolo Mascarello. But let 's get to the food. As entrees... and calling them entrees is definitely limiting! We were offered 2 wonderful tastings which unfortunately I cannot remember in their composition, but the first was a cream with carrot and rhubarb served in a mini terracotta vase, while the second appeared like a palette of colors where some fantastic raw materials sauces could be combined manually. My lunch then began with the Cantiam la montanara where, under a soft celery foam, there was a composition of green asparagus, spring onion and truffle on chopped borlotti beans. Fantastic dish, sublime with exceptional aromas!. I then continued with The navel of the world , a wonderfully plated dish where two types of rice are used, one as a base made with asparagus and watercress, and in the center a Venere rice cake finished on top with saffron almond cream . Finally I closed the lunch with a selection of 8 cheeses, some of which were truly exceptional, accompanied by jams/honey. Obviously the bill is in line with the proposal and with the experience. I must say that it was truly a pleasure and an honor."
