"we arrived in legoland for dinner after two days. the pub is beautiful and has a beautiful village feeling and I was concerned our 10 months old and 4 years old in it would be difficult, but I could not be. more wrong. the renter came right past and could not feel welcome anymore. my oldest slept in my poor and she offered him to make a room in one standing so that he could sleep. our food came super fast and was nice. they were super accommodating, even a pudding not on the menu for my youngest as he is milk unbearable. the renter and the two girls who work there could not do enough for us and make a dread of the children. the tables arrived for the evening and we didn't feel like we were getting out. it was nice to go somewhere that our children were welcome, but that was also a nice pub with great food. will definitely return. I just wish it were in our city, like we'd be regulars!"

a very friendly pub that serves a large menu with many specials. eating was good and cheap. only on the bottom is the parking space, which is both economical and difficult.

was not for a past, but young, what a great experience, the greeting is excellent, there fits a very traditional pub, the eating is even better, generous portions served piping hot as it should be, but so often is not! I really can't flaw this place...if they didn't try, they should be great first! View menu

today for lunch on the way back from lego land. that is an absolute little hidden gem. the pub is very friendly and friendly. loved, welcomed by the beautiful birds in the aviary in the beautiful beer garden. The foods were absolutely stunning and the prices were very reasonable. I wish we had such places with us

A nicely run pub, with relaxed and friendly staff who are welcoming. Good drinks and service. Just a shame that the food was very average the sort of stuff that pubs sold 20 years ago frozen scampi, lumps of gammon from the fridge,...that is just uninspired and more like eating for fuel rather than enjoyment. Improve the food and it would be great.

the old couple annie nick leads a great pub. Complimated by the young team duke, which makes a very favorable culinary experience. we enjoyed our Sunday dinners of the juicy beefs and delicious pork with crunching. the staff was very friendly and accommodating. everything they could wish in a nice cozy pub for a Sunday dinner. many thanks. annie nick, we'll be back. I called to book a late lunch for a special work colleague 80th birthday. unfortunately we only had a window and the kitchen closed. the owner was wonderful came with an ideal solution. we had a fantastic buffet. the table was open and we hadn't asked anymore. I would certainly recommend the duke of edinburgh if the service we have is everything to go to no further. thanks for a wonderful afternoon.

Three of thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here today. The decor and ambiance of this pub is extremely pleasant, as are the staff. We all had the beef and ale pies which, when they appeared, were enormous and full of flavour. The chips were perfect with...crispy outsides and soft insides. The coffee was excellent too. My first time here and definitely not my last. The reviews of this pub do it full justice (just ignore the handful of moaners) to which I add my own of 5 stars.

"We were visiting Windsor and read the good reviews about this place and were so pleasantly surprised to find such cosy and beautiful place . The food was delicious. Lots of starters to choose from. We had squid and warm salad for starters... The squid...was so delicious and beautifully cooked, and had subtle spicey chilly and onion dressing. I had warm salad and the pork just melted in my mouth . For our mains we had steaks , sirloin and rib eye and my partner said this is the best steak he had ever had in UK . The mushroom sauce I had was so authentic just perfect. The sides of duck fat chips and cauliflower cheese are must try ! I never though that I'd love cauliflower but I'm already a fan after trying WG's special side of cauliflower cheese. Generous portions and such lovely staff ! They made us feel welcomed always with smile on their faces and very knowledgeable and chatty as well. The whole atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and it had real good vibe .The play list was such a nice addition to our experience , such good mix of all types of music. We were sat at the table close to the bar, and we've noticed that the whole place is decorated with good taste and attention to detail. This place is a true gem honestly , and I'm not surprised now that they have so many stars reviews ! We will definitely come back when visiting Windsor again ! My sincere compliments to the chefs as well ! We've learned that the owner of the restaurant is the Chef at the kitchen so what a delight , when so much attention to details is payed to food ! You created a food momento that we will not forget ."
