"We stopped here for a drink just before going to the Victoria Palace Theatre. Given it was during the olympics so the pub was busy with drinkers. However, the customer service was terrible, 4 staff behind the bar all of which could speak hardly any/if any english and myself and other customers had to point to which drink we wanted. The drink i had was disgustingly warm and cloudy as if the barrel hadn't been tapped correctly and the cooling system wasn't on. I work in a pub myself so excuses like it's a hot day or it's near the end of the barrel don't wash with me. And if this wasn't bad enough did i mention the prices? A standard pint of horrible beer and small (and i mean small! glass of rose' wine cost me £10.75 i had to take a double take when she showed me the price on the till (again couldn't understand when she told me the price .Fair to say this duke of york will not have 10,000 men any time soon."

We went here for lunch as a shopping-pause. The ultimate fish and chips with garden peas is great, also service is friendly and location is a typical British pub.

It's a great find in London and probably one of my new favourites as I live local and can see myself spending a lot of evenings there. Good service and nice atmosphere. View menu

Can't fault this great pub, opposite victoria station its idea as a waiting place or to eat some good food whilst waiting for your bus or train. The beer was also first class, I hope to be back soon...

An old favorite of ours for the past 20 years, the Duke is out of business for now. The outer shell has been left as a monstrous new works takes place in the updating of the Victoria Station environs, but a worker on site told me to expect a re opening in two three years.

I went with some friends to this pub before taking a train from Victoria station. We didn't expect such a nice meal next to the main train station in London for a reasonable price.I had the steak and ale pie, it was one of the best meat pies I have tried. My friends ordered a burger, which was good too.I consider eating there again if I am near Victoria train station.

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
