"Had the privilege of dinning at Dukes restaurant this lunchtime. We chose the gravelax and haloumi starters, followed by the roast beef. Both starters and main where presented excellently and tasted even better. The staff were very attentive, and we weren't rushed at all. Pleasant and light layout to the dining area with lots if space between tables. Will be recommending. Vegetarian options: Standard selection of vegetarian options Parking: Plenty of parking, code to exit the parking area. Wheelchair accessibility: Mainly all on one level inside, though cobled paving through the entrance"

My daughter and I stayed overnight at Villiers Hotel in Buckingham and it was AMAZING, breakfast was delicious and the Sunday Roast here in Dukes was INCREDIBLE. The sharer roast platter was presented impeccibly and the staff were so attentive and polite. We will come back here again, you can bet on it!

A mixed experience we felt the cooked breakfasts were slow to arrive and when they did, were very underwhelming (heard a neighbouring diner comment the same). E.g. no toast served alongside/no garnish/three rather small pancakes with some maple syrup/etc. However the Sunday roast lunch was very good large portions, large Yorkshire pudding, nice starters and desserts.

Lovely staff and good food (we had the roast). One thing we struggled with was the facilities for baby changing. There was only a baby changing area in the ladies toilets. Perhaps worth considering adding something to the men's toilets as for anyone who is a single father etc this would be a struggle. My husband wanted to go and change our son as I was still eating my meal but I had to go due to him not being able to.

The steaks and appetizers were not cooked as requested, making them tough and hard to eat, which was disappointing given the prices. The atmosphere was decent and the restaurant was pleasantly quiet. However, the service left something to be desired. We also noted that our birthdays were not acknowledged despite mentioning them in our reservation. Overall, I would rate the food a 1, the service a 2, and the atmosphere a 4.

We were staying at the hotel it came with evening meal, did we want to eat there again no. The reason limited choices, the price seemed excessive for what it was. Despite the restaurant not being busy we had no call back. When we did point out problem such as missing items from a dish nothing was done to put it right. Ate in there for breakfast which was OK. The full English was obviously just on a servery ready to go out, due to speed and heat it came out.

Every time I visit this place, I hope it has improved, but unfortunately, I still find it quite disappointing. The bar area lacks a clear identity, and it’s rarely busy. There’s no working WiFi, and the coffee is just average at best. A significant portion of the lounge area has been converted into a tea room. I did notice that some parts of the interior have been recently refurbished, and the bar lunch menu seemed appealing, but I’m not sure where you would actually sit to enjoy it. Overall, my experience dining in hasn't changed much.
