"We came across Dunvegan Bakery on our travels around Skye and stopped to buy a loaf on 18th May @1.30 ish.. bakery closed at 2 o'clock. We purchased a brown loaf (still warm) and had a lovely chat with the Baker and his wife. It's now 21st May and back on the mainland.. sadly I have to report the last slice has just been consumed and it's still fresh! Has now gone.. it has to be the best loaf of bread I have purchased in a very long time. Thanks again and keep on baking! G x K"

Very good savory and sweet bakery. Current owners are super sweet and friendly, in true Scottish style. Must stop if visiting Skye!!!

I visited a lovely spot in Dunvegan, and the cakes were absolutely delicious, especially the carrot cake! Please note that the coffee shop is currently open only for takeout.

I stopped by for a quick breakfast and a cappuccino. Unfortunately, there's no dine-in option, so I had to take my food to go. The staff was friendly, and the service was quite fast. It was a convenient spot for a quick meal, perfect for those on the go.

What a lovely place, I had a bacon and egg sandwich, blueberry muffin and a coffee, my wife had bacon sandwich, millionaires shortcake and a tea, everything was delicious, served up quickly by a lovely chatty lady, also bought a granary loaf (baked by them). Definitely recommend

we loved to come here during our stay on skye. the brot is beautiful and fresh and the cakes are all delicious - we must have about eight different! there are no nuts in one of them, for those with a nut allergy. beautiful couple that leads, we wish them many fertile years to come.

"We 've finally done it, after too long we got to experience the magnificent Three Chimneys. From entering to leaving the whole experience was magical. We were met and greeted by the wonderful front of house staff and really made to feel welcome. Throughout the course of the meal we got to chat to nearly all members of the team, such a great contrast of characters and personalities, yet all boasted the same high level of attentiveness, and professionalism you 'd come to expect from such an establishment. The vibe is really interesting, you may walk in in your finest suit, and you will be treated to a high class fine dining experience. On the other hand, you may pop in in your walking boots, just off the hills and be treated to a lovely relaxing country pub-vibe lunch. How this is achieved is beyond me, but everyone seems to be given the experience they are looking for. The menu, is by far one of the most interesting I have come across yet. First off, it 's the same menu for lunch as it is dinner, so you can have the same marvellous experience regardless of your time preference. Second, it 's not your normal, run of the mill a la carte format. The menu progresses in courses, with suggested dishes for each, entrées, course 1, 2 and 3, and finally desert. The menu is designed in such a way that as you move forward throughout each course, the dishes will get more rich, however you aren 't restricted to any give dish in any given order. you can start with something from course 2, jump back to some fish off of 1, enjoy some entrées, then finish with something off of course 3. Your partner can do something quite different. What an excellent way to dine if you so wish. Finally, the food and wine. Of course it was exquisite. The locally sourced fish and meat was at it 's finest. Master crafted dishes, brought to life by Scott Davies. Each dish was very different, yet the whole experience tied together perfectly. We really did mix-it-up , and yet the contrast between each course was perfect, at no point did anything feel jarring or odd. As you 'd expect, the quality was superb. We had several red wines and several white wines throughout the meal, each was perfectly selected for us based on our attempt to describe what we liked and the dishes we had ordered. We ended our meal with some superb port, sherry and a couple of cheeky cocktails. You really can have as much or as little as you like, without pressure and time constraints. We 'd just like to say a huge thank you to both front of house staff and the kitchen for making our experience everything we had hoped for and so much more. You really made us feel like friends. All in all, an amazing experience."

"The views are incredible, upon entering the bar we were initially just seeking a drink , however a very charming elderly gentleman approached us on entering and asked if we were you looking for food and we responded “maybe”. This is where the salesman patter began The elderly gentleman enquired where we were from and shared that we had travelled 9 hours from Wales , this is where he knew he had hooked his next victim. He explained that there were extremely busy however he quickly hurried us to table within the bar area , we were perplexed as the main restaurant appeared to be empty. The bar man maybe owner proclaimed the langoustines and mussels were the best you could get in the Isle of Skye . Trusting individuals as we are believed his passionate proclamation and we eagerly order both dishes. Awaiting our feast the mussels were ok , however half of the pot the shells un-opened (obviously not as fresh as the gentleman was so passionate about bracing bowl of chips (unknowingly frozen , langoustines were ok compared to other restaurant we have dined in recently. We had two small glasses of Chardonnay and 2 bottle of local lager . The bill totalling £87 . Unknowingly the wine was charged at £9.50 per glass as apparently organic and this levied an extortionate price for a 175ml. I suppose the morale of the story is diners beware especially if you are approached by a over excited owner who enquires where you have travelled from , in our opinion was not a genuine enquiry but a tactic to see if he can easily raise the bill price unknowingly. I would go to a more reputable hotel kinlich lodge where indeed it’s high in price but the quality matches . I am hoping the bar owner reads this and ceases this tactic as. Isle of Skye will get a true reputation for being a low quality tourist trap"
