"Were there for the second time on Saturday. The first time as a couple everything was perfect. The last time with four adults and 2 children we weren't very enthusiastic: the drinks came first and my wife's glass had your big lip print... Aren't the glasses washed?? Then we waited forever for food, the children were tired and restless at the end, so I ordered dessert early. Unfortunately, we waited a very long time for this too. By the time the ice cream finally arrived, it had already melted and was more like cream instead of ice cream. It's a shame... it was probably ready for a long time, but the waitresses didn't get around to serving it?? even though they were running back and forth. But the biggest disappointment was that such a large restaurant with so many tables only had TWO children's chairs!?! We were told off three times that we would get one when “the guests downstairs” were ready… after almost 3 hours the stole still wasn’t there! Luckily, a family across the street had finished eating and put their child on their lap so we could use the chair and eat normally. 2 children's chairs for the huge guest capacity is a no go! please get 5 of the stackable IKEA children's chairs..."

super delicious food, good quality of products. the delivery period was as specified, the delivery was within 30 minutes. that was still hot. both high to eat and the delivery time of el mexicano in basel

we had asked for a delivery at 19:15 on the afternoon. the delivery came 20 minutes later without being notified. the eating was lukewarm and the pouletbrust was much too long budding - absolutely tough and hardly sauce, for that much too expensive.

The food is great and there is a choice. The service at the entrance and the boss are great. Service at the place is a bit slow, perhaps because of the Corona phase or because it is always very full. I would always make a reservation otherwise it would be difficult. I probably go there 2 to 3 times a month. Today at women's evening the food was 50%. As always, great food and great service. A lot of things have been added to the menu or taken away

Ordered a margarita for my wife (12 euros), it was around 90% ice blended, probably 8% sweet syrup and 2% alcohol. The worst and one of the most expensive she' ever had. Fortunately, I just ordered beer. Foodwise, we had nachos and chicken wings. No complaints about the chicken wings. The nachos came with three dips. Avocado, sour cream and salsa. The serving size of the dips could not have been smaller. Very, very poor value. Certainly would not go back or recommend.

I went to El Mexicano with my friends to celebrate my birthday, because on the day of your birthday you get the starter, main course, dessert and birthday drink for free. That's why the first star. The second star is for the nice service and quick serving of the food. However, the food didn't taste good. The sauces were all bought and the enchilidas' dough was soggy with sauce and the giant prawns tasted strange. The dessert was not at all like what was shown on the menu, with much less fruit. I also reserved seats on the 1st floor. It wasn't until I was there that I was told that the first floor is only open on Thursdays and Fridays, when the band is playing. So there was no birthday music....

"Cheval Blanc is the ultimate classic French fine dining experience in Switzerland. We came here to celebrate my birthday while in Switzerland looking for a 3 Michelin stars experience. Located in the historical Grand Hotel Les Trois Rios. The riverside setting is charming and romantic. You start by a welcome drink at the terrace looking at the Rhine greeted by suited , polite and professional staff. The head chef Peter Knogl came to say hi before we moved to the main dining room and service started. The decor and interior is classy retro French with high ceilings, arches, classic chandeliers, large windows and round tables with candles. Ambience is warm and intimate. Service was top notch and impeccable. Staff were all knowledgeable with refreshing attention to details. Cuisine was modern french with Mediterranean influences, flavors were complex and dynamic. Ingredients were chosen carefully and courses were presented beautifully. I liked all of my courses, highlights of the menu were the Sardine Macaron, Langoustine curry, Red Mullet filet and the French saddle of lamb with mediterranean flavors. Wine pairing was excellent and enhanced every course taste and flavor. Sommelier was very professional and knowledgeable yet intimidating a bit. The French Cheese selections from Maître Antony in Ferrette was aromatic, rich and satisfying, Maître Antony is one of the best in the world that many Michelin starred Chefs get their fine cheeses selection from. The night ended well with a couple of delightful desserts courses, few delectable bites and some velvety chocolate. Overall, we had an elevated fine dining experience that will bring me back if in Basel again."
