"Premettendo che il cibo è senza lode e senza infamia, il merito maggiore sta nel fatto che in un piccolo paese come Oberammergau dove tutti chiudono le cucine al più tardi alle 21 loro servono fino alle 23:30! Un record! Ed un salvavita per chi ha fatto tardi o semplicemente non vuol cenare presto.Il locale è carino e curato, il personale veloce e gentile il servizio è davvero molto buono. Il cibo non impressiona più di tanto, complessivamente buono. Sconsiglio la carne perché molto cara, mentre le altre pietanze sono complessivamente ben fatte ed abbondanti. Buona la birra e praticamente inesistente il piccante, per cui si può andare tutti senza timori di scottature!Bello per stare con amici e colleghi la sera a chiacchierare. Non hanno il wi-fi, accettano le carte."

Waren zu viert zum Essen. Alle eine Vorspeise, Hauptgericht und ein Paar Biere. Rechnung war sehr günstig. Essen Ausgezeichnet. Ich kann dieses Tex-Mex Restaurant nur empfehlen. Freundliches Personal!

El Puente is a very friendly, pleasant Mexican style restaurant in Oberammergau that serves delicious Mexican food. The portions are very generous, and the staff are superb. I highly recommend it to anyone passing through Oberammergau.

Wir hatten 2 Wochen lang Orchesterprojekt in Oberammergau und waren fast jeden Abend im El Puente, weil uns das Personal so herzlich empfangen hat und die Qualität des Essens und Service einfach super ist. Das El Puente kann man nur weiterempfehlen. View menu

My family is from Texas, so we know good Mexican. We got tired of having German food, and found El Puente on Trip Advisor. We were very skeptical at first, but the food was very very good and tasty!!! The staff was so friendly! Such a great surprise.

Erg lekker gegeten! Alle typische texmex gerechten staan op de kaart. Zelf had ik drie verschillende enchiladas. Erg lekker al miste ik wat guacemole erbij. Leuke bediening. Ondanks de wat afgelegen ligging was het hier ook op een woensdag druk, geen tafels buiten meer vrij, reserveren is dus aan te raden.

Gemütliches Ambiente, große Auswahl an mexikanischen Gerichten, große Portionen und hervorragende Longdrinks - zur Happy hour Zeit nochmal deutlich günstiger. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, aber zum Großteil waschechte Oberbayern. Spanisch spricht hier keiner, was dem Besuch doch einen authentischeren Charakter verleihen würde. View menu

Some decent dishes and decent portions make this a place worth visiting especially if you crave Mexican food while on your Bavarian holiday. The cuisine leans towards American style Mexican food as opposed to more traditional Mexican, but that's not a bad thing. All the sauces and salsas have lots of the right flavours. And be sure to have a local beer to go with your meal - they match perfectly!

Buen mejicano situado en el centro del pueblo. Los camareros son jóvenes, muy agradables, y se defienden en tres o cuatro idiomas cada uno.A pesar de que me gusta la comida alemana, si alguien va a estar más de tres o cuatro días por la zona es una muy buena opción para variar un poco. Además de platos de comida mejicana en cantidades abundantes, las hamburguesas de la carta también están muy buenas.También es de las pocas opciones que tiene Oberammergau para tomar una copa más allá de las 11 de la noche, hora a la que la mayoría de los locales cierran. Este en concreto cierra a la 1, y si algún sitio tiene de ambiente en el pueblo, ése es el mejicano.

"This restaurant is a few minutes walk from the centre of town. We had a wonderful evening with amazing food. This is a run entirely by a very friendly and attentive husband a wife team, Adriano and Rosy. The pasta was all home made and cooked perfectly al dente. The sauces were delicious. The panna cotta was perfect. There is an outdoor area but we sat inside. This was a night that will stay in our memory. We spent 54 Euros and had three courses, glasses of wine, coffee and a limoncello.We loved the wine, we loved the food and we loved the hosts."

"My wife and I visited the Garmsich area this past summer. We were told that a trip to see Oberammergau was an absolute must. So, we took everyone's advice and made a side trip to this historic town. It was a hot July afternoon so...after walking around and taking a tour, we were told to come here as this place had the best ice cream in town. Now, I did not try all the others...yet...but I must say that my wife and I enjoyed both our ice cream and our cake. Do yourself a favor the next time you are here. Stop by whether it is sun, rain, or snow for that matter because there is no bad time to eat ice cream!"

"a view of the sky in the oberammergau, which is more noticeable by the mass production of tourism than by culinary highlights. in the well-designed yet cozy local, regional cuisine is clearly interpreted. be it the suppen as an appetizer or meat as a main dish everything carefully prepared and tastes wonderfully according to the particular ingredients. in my case this was a wonderfully mürbes, in red wine sworn rinderbackerl. even those desserts are in nothing. I can't judge the crying offer, I'm stuck on the beer. the service is extremely attentive and beautiful that the language is also regional, understands itself and completes the extremely positive impression. at our next visit to oberammergau we will come back here definitiw."

"Vist Oberammergau several times a year for work and always make I sure I come here, and as unimaginative as it seems, I always have the schnitzel - I just can't resist it. Perfect thin escalopes of pork in a breadcrumb which includes bacon bits, served on delicious buttery saute potatoes with onions - comes with a well dressed side salad too.You get 2 food size schnitzels per portion, which seems generous (though I've always managed to finish them off). Other dishes on the menu look good too (one of our party had the lamb and was very pleased) and the desserts are also very good. All in all it's a must-eat stop in Oberammergau for me. Wolfgang and his wife are always friendly, and welcome returning visitors with genuine warmth. Other staff can be very German (which of course they are) - not rude or impolite, just direct in a way which you don't normally find elsewhere. For example, a request for fries with the burger (let's face it, a very reasonable one) was met with a 'nein'. No explanation, no beating about the bush, just a straight 'nein' - at least you know where you stand. And the kitchen may close while you are finishing off your main course - don't expect to be told and asked if you would like to order dessert. Overall though, these are not reflections on the restaurant, but on the German tendency for plain speaking and rules. I've given it a 5, which is possibly generous, but it's more than a 4 - it's a great place and I will always return."

"On a weeks trip in Oberammergau we visited this joint several times.This first time was Sunday evening after a 5 hour drive; all I wanted was easy food, a big juicy burger. That's exactly what we got; the menu isn't extensive but that's a good thing. The texas burger we chose was delicious and juicy but not so big it falls a part like some restaurants.We spoke to the owner Tim, who took the time to describe how he made them but also said his ribs were worth a shout (see pic).So we can back later in the week for the ribs! WOW simply WOW. You could have eaten them off the bone with a spoon they were that soft and juicy. But the marinade is the winner; soaked in a rich sweet bbq sauce that every so often gives you a little spicy kick.Tim and his wife are extremely friendly and make you feel right at home in this quaint bar; although it's no so quaint on karaoke night when it's mobbed with visitors and locals all sharing a great night.When I go back I will be defiantly revisiting !!"
