"Now we are back here with 4 adults and a baby. it is the return to our tribal restaurant where we have been staying for more than 10 years and have also held several family celebrations here. As usual, there is again a new female service force (service) at our table. I order a bottle of expensive Spanish red wine. additionally, the menu shows that the order of a paella takes 30 minutes into consideration. The female service comes with the bottle red wine to the table. It tries to open it at the table, which fails. the cork breaks. she now goes back to the kitchen with the bottle and commits the first mistake. it opens the bottle there, pours the wine there and comes back to the table with the opened bottle and a glass of red wine. in the glass now swim various pieces from the cork. to me, the paying hospitable, remains left to fish the cork with the spoon out of the glass. in the menu is listed that the ordering of a paella takes 30 minutes to serve. After receiving the order, I say to the service: "the time is running."5 minutes later, the wife of the chef, who is supposed to have the management there, comes to the table. While we are eating the tapas, she starts a talk with the complaining that I had already noticed her with my review at tripadvisor negatiw. With this 3-point evaluation, it would not agree, as this would not correspond to the facts.Since I also now the female operation with the formulation analogue to the menu about the waiting period of 30 minutes at the paella, which would have put employees under pressure, it would be better not to appear any more. during this conversation, I asked them to stop in the presence of 3 more adults, that we would like to finish in rest our eating. we could like to put together and discuss after the end of eating. she refused and said a house ban.Since the restaurant manager was loud during the conversation, the baby started screaming. Of course, I will never return to berlin either here or to the filiale."

Too bad not having an appetit! nice little place in Spanish style, with a fresh fish counter that looks great, but since I had no hunger, I decided for a few tapas, still good.

located next to the well-known ni hao, the Spanish-Portuguese restaurant has acquired a large tribal audience over the years. friendly service, fresh and product quality as well as a variety of tapas often weigh the numerous places in the evening, so that a reservation is recommended. The lunch table with a very good price-genus ratio is also particularly recommended. View menu

I complained about eating first time and this with good right. After I was already shocked over my marine animal cellar, because it did not already promise what was offered by the cook. waitress. That when I got from my man who had a seafood dish, a large white mush to taste. I opened this now and had almost finally swung off the chair, for I came such a stinking smell ending. The statement from the cook, after complaining to waitress, the mussel was in orderly order. After we had ordered coffee, we wanted to pay.It came the bill, but unfortunately no apologies or let alone a coffee on recalculation of the house.

we were eating at night, which was local, despite the size, very well visited. it was Monday, there is a "all you can eat" tapas evening. we decided paella, thunfischsteak and tapas. the thunfischsteak was first class, the undefined vegetables on the teller was unfortunately too fat, the paella was also very good. to the tapas I want to add that there is a special card from which you can choose. three times three tapas should be applied so that the chef does not come in difficult ways. I still had to tear myself to five crucifixes at the first floor. was brought without difficulties. Of course, the portion can be overlooked, a spoon here, a spoon there. everything very tasty, but mostly cold...

"There's always a question (in my mind, anyway) as to Michelin's accuracy/usefulness outside of France. In the US, it's not very helpful at all and in Europe ex-France, I've found it hit and miss. Haerlin represented only my second stab at a two-star in Germany and the first meal (Heinz Winkler), while a thoroughly wonderful overall experience, felt like the second star might have been a stretch. Not so at Haerlin, this was a two-star meal that stands fork-to-fork with any I can remember. The food is stylized to within an inch of its life, but close to flawless in both conception and execution. Outside of a large selection of generally unremarkable breads and a luke-warm roasted onion broth added to an amuse at table side that probably should have been hotter, the meal was simply one perfect dish after another. Maybe the sorbet intermezzo was a little old school in such a fashion forward meal, but - hey - it was delicious! Keep it.The room is suitably formal, luxurious in a traditional style, and quite comfortable. The pace of service might be a little leisurely for some (I ate alone and the four-course menu (seven + courses, including amuses, etc) pushed it a bit, stretching just over three hours. However, the friendly and attentive staff kept an eye out the entire time and stopped by if the time between courses presented the opportunity. The somm, in particular, was a great diversion, visiting from time to time to discuss the varied and interesting wines on offer. He provided useful insight into the outstanding selection of trocken Rieslings on the list. He guided me to a 2001 Burklin-Wolf GG that, at Eu 150, was both a great bottle of mature white and a tremendous value for a wine of this quality in this type of restaurant. (Good luck finding a white burgundy of this quality at this price at any multi-star restaurant - or at retail, for that matter.) He also suggested a wonderful German Pinot Noir by the glass that worked perfectly with the meat course and wasn't terribly expensive. The list is extensive, but not the tome you see at some restaurants, but don't be fooled - wine service at Haerlin is both a major plus and represents notable value in the context of multi-star restaurants.I'm not going to argue two-star vs three-star because that distinction often seems to be kind of mysterious (and tangentially related to the food), but I will say that this place certainly deserves two stars. I had just a flat-out great meal. If you can work in a visit, Haerlin should be high on your list."
