"After I saw the gourmet competitor Borgfelder Elaine’s Greenhouse and I was there last week, I thought it was a good idea to share my thoughts with you. Elaine’s Greenhouse is part of the small but steadily growing food empire Elaine’s in Frankfurt, consisting of: Elaine’s Room, Elaine’s Deli, Elaine’s Restaurant, You, Me and the Benjamins and, of course, the Greenhouse. It was written on the flags to address the culinary and emotional problems of the guests. More information about the concept here: [here link] Greenhouse is located in the most beautiful area of Frankfurt City, close to Fressgaß, Goethestraße and Opernplatz, just a stone's throw from the Westend and the banking district. Frankfurt’s best shopping, cuisine and culture can be found nearby. An ideal location, however, the Greenhosue is easily hidden in a small passage opposite Sons of Savile Row and Cove Co. The Greenhouse is actually a greenhouse and therefore fully glazed, in addition it offers a beautiful terrace. I had reserved for Wednesday's post shopping 19:45 and the terrace was half filled, the greenhouse itself empty. The host post at the entrance was not occupied, but both a female and a male service made it clear that they were there for us. The male operation was the first and offered us a table for two on the terrace. It wasn't very nice. On demand we got a much better one. I find it an unssitte to offer guests with reservation little attractive tables to have even more beautiful available for walk-ins. The beverage and menu is not particularly extensive. The focus is on light kitchen. My wife and I then ordered a Beef Tartar with Frankfurt Mayonnaise and wild herbs (each 18,00 EUR) and a Caesar Salad with Chicken to share as a supplement (15,00 EUR). For me there was a glass of Halvard the warriors from the Schwedhelm winery and my wife a Syrah Ventoux from the Vaentous family, each 8.00 for 0.15l. The wines were excellently tempered and tasted good. Time to let the atmosphere and the audience work. The ambience in and next to the Greenhouse is very pleasant, summerly light and airy. The audience is very attractive and relaxed. Definitely a place to feel good. The tartar came after a reasonable waiting period, was hand-cut and tucked with a guard. The Frankfurt Mayonnaise strongly reminded of a well seasoned Grie sauce. The Caesar Salad was a poem: one could taste Anchovies and Parmesan wonderfully in the composition, the chicken parts came crisp. Very nice. We then enjoyed the chilly atmosphere with further wine. Conclusion: The Greenhouse is a beautiful addition to the gastro offer in Frankfurt City. Due to the small food offer, perhaps priority for a lunch while shopping or a few afterwork or pre-theater drinks. We will definitely come back."

great location, very good service and excellent food. However, it was quite loud music as well as noise level (many guests on a small room) so that the ambiente suffered and a relaxed conversation was not possible.

Price/performance ratio does not fit. caesar salat disappointing. from the size rather a supplemental salad, the parmesan had to be searched. the chicken was not convincing. drink prices heavy: a bottle of water for 9,00 euro. Even in the sense of weeping, the water bottle costs “only” 8.50. the ambiente cool/uneven, bistrofeeling. the greenhouse of elaine is a really great location with a beautiful atmosphere. also eating is great. Unfortunately, the service can be desired, especially at the slightly higher ones. the waiter wanted to pour wein into the glasses from which we drank prosecco directly before. I'm sorry, I can't. we were asked when food was brought to the table. this question belongs to the order. the waiters were friendly, but unfortunately not reliant and very inexperienced. the one or the other should put the flirt during the work and concentrate a little more on the job.
