"I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. I was excited for Sunday brunch with a friend, but I would recommend looking for other options in Whitstable. The food was small and of mediocre quality. When I requested to substitute bread or have an alternative, the staff looked at me as if I was crazy. They claimed they couldn't make any changes because the items were already allocated. My friend's meal also came with a small portion, and when she asked to have my toast, the staff seemed annoyed and had to check if it was okay. The customer service was lacking, with young staff who didn't seem to want to be there and couldn't make any decisions to improve the experience. The prices were not cheap either. Overall, it was a disappointing experience."

Popped in today for lunch. Delicious mackerel and salad and very friendly staff. Good value compared to some other places.

We stumbled upon Elliott's while searching for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, reasonably priced, and beautifully presented. Definitely worth a visit.

What a little gem! We popped in here for lunch on a recent trip to Whitstable and were very impressed with the service and the food. Everyone was really friendly and the portions were generous what's not to love?!

The Full breakfast was terrible. The baked beans were brown and totally inedible The rest with the exception of the egg was very very poor. Very overpriced, no customer care and the facilities were not that good either. We will not be going back and will advise all our friends to avoid at all costs. View menu

Hats off to the team at Elliott's! We received a warm welcome and enjoyed a fantastic brunch with a delicious selection of Eggs Benedict and perfectly cooked Sausage and Bacon baps. My boys, their girlfriends, and I all loved it. The spontaneous entertainment from the kitchen staff was a delightful bonus!

With good prices, a nice menu and attractive settings I thought we’d enjoy our lunch here. Unfortunately, the food took such a long time to arrive and when it did we found it wasn’t very good quality so we’ll not return. All I can say is that the food was okay but I wonder if the place is seriously understaffed given the long wait for the food. View menu

Had a lovely day out with a friend for her birthday. I’m gluten free and vegan and there were no other restaurants that could properly accommodate. I knew Elliots would though. I had simply the best meal that they were happy to tailor for me. The chef and staff were an absolute delight …. Outstanding. The atmosphere was brilliant and the food was delightfully served up. Will definitely be back again.

Family group of 8 all enjoyed a really fantastic breakfast best one we've had in a long time. The full English was a generous size with decent quality meat which makes a nice change tasty thick sausages, black pudding bacon all delicious; coffee hot chocolate; AMAZING waffles with maple syrup crispy bacon ditto the avocado bacon and runny poached eggs everyone well fed and not one complaint. Thanks Elliot's for brightening up a a wet dreary morning.

"After never visiting Canterbury before we where looking for somewhere to have a late lunch, we came across this place which looked ok, upon entering the back room we were offered to take a seat in the front area and someone will be with us. We asked what food there was and we where sarcastically shown the food on the blackboard, after choosing what we wanted the polite man went off and put the order in. We did feel that because the man had asked a couple of questions to another member of staff that he was spoke down too a bit. Anyway after placing the order and what we wanted the food came out it wasn’t correct but because it seemed like we were going to interrupt the people in the back room we just took what we had. It was nice food though. When we went to pay we hadn’t noticed that there wasn’t a price list so when we asked for the bill we were told that it was donation, what we thought was enough, it wasn’t posted anywhere and it took us by surprise as we where standing at the till, I was going to pay in cash but was told they don’t take cash so I had to give my donation in card by telling the person how much we where donating. After plucking a figure out of air as we wasn’t prepared we paid and left. Upon leaving we felt that the person we paid thought we hadn’t paid enough and wasn’t happy with the amount but after working out what we would have paid properly we worked out that we had paid more than what it might have been if there was a proper price on everything. Overall it has a great ethos and it’s great for giving people the experience that they need to be in a working environment but they need to show the price or tell customers first that it’s donations and card only."
